You know there is a scene in the Disney film 'Tangled' , taken from the famous fairytale of 'Rapunzel'. There , the evil witch mother is combing Rapunzel's hair. Rapunzel asks her that why can't she get out of this tower and see the outside world? The evil witch mother pats her head and says that darling , the world outside is unfriendly, cold and evil. Rapunzel looks scared and tantalized at the same time. Little does she know , that there in the world outside lies her true happiness.

Today, when I looked at Piya getting all confused , psyched , torn between the mind and the heart , with Jay convincing her that her angel is nothing but a figment of her imagination , I instantly recalled that scene. Piya was that Rapunzel today – the only difference being that her life and happiness doesn't lie outside . It lies inside…..

Totally contrary to what we thought , what the articles said , the reunion of Abhay-Piya today was something straight out of a fairytale . A fairytale that you have never heard or read or even imagined. There is 'Sleeping Beauty' , there is 'Snow White' and then, there is 'AbhIya'.

It was a surreal and moving experience when that hand of her soulmate pulled Piya into his frigid , damned but safe world. Saving her from the werewolves , like he has saved her every night…..

Thrown into a surreal, freezing , unbelievable , unrealistic , page of a fairytale, Piya found herself pulled into the beautiful freezing world of liquid suffering of her angel. He – a snow prince caked in frigid beauty , held her hands to steady her – the chiseled features , the familiar proud cheekbones , the familiar classic ice blue eyes . Piya's dreams, her hallucinations , imagination , memories had materialized into a ghostly beautiful real figure. One look at those ice-blues and the clasp of protection and reassurance from those hands….. all fear, shock and horror of Piya was gone. Once again , like always , she lost herself in those hypnotic concentric circles ….

Abhay-Piya. Or AbhIya? There they stood – trapped in a fairytale – lost in a moment that was on the threshold of the real and the unreal – eyes locked – hands held . And as the creatives run the most beautiful memories and most touching moments of this surreal saga – AbhIya give you the impression that they have stood like this , together , hands held since time immemorial. It's a soul-love which rises above the lines of possible and impossible – it's a bond that is perched on the edge of the natural and supernatural. Life , death , people – nobody can separate them .

Abhay-Piya have always been like this. Two soulmates entwined inside a glass ball with the water of time having stopped for them the day they began……

And as you watch those 3.5 minutes of pure surreal magic , thinking is this kind of connection really exists , Piya puts her hand on the snow prince's heart . And the prince is released from the obsessed witch's spell forever. …..

But how can the princess stay in that glass ball and just embrace the prince? Her fairytale is that of struggle, longing , strife , endless waiting and perched on the edge of insanity. So, off she goes, having breathed life into her snow prince – scared and snapped out of the moment . Piya gives Abhay the touch of life and gets lost in her real world……

Piya steps out of the fairytale and all drenched in the love of snow prince , she regains consciousness . As Jay rolls his eyes at Piya's supposed dementia , Piya is still with Abhay. She utters and mutters that she knows he is her angel . But even Jay doesn't let her dream easy or should I say believe easy? He once again turns Abhay into a puzzle and tells Piya that Abhay is nothing but a mirage , a manifestation of her wild insane imagination. He tells her that there was no angel when he rescued her – all he knows is that she was muttering that her angel needs her. Ummm… angel who? Jay jokes, kids , ridicules and Piya once again goes back into her confused orbit , wondering if she is really losing it? What she saw , what she felt , none is real?

And as Piya breaks down and moves like a frustrated tigress in her bathroom, trying to restore both her feelings and her sanity , you can see that familiar Piya. Abhay , the fixation with him , the frustration over him , the soul-tearing push and pull feelings for him , the need and yet the abuse of him – each and every thing is coming back. You have seen her like this before. Fighting Abhay inside her and her own abnormally deep feelings for him , trying to find comfort frantically else where just so that she can get her mind off Abhay. All of that familiar denial , familiar unrest , familiar heart struggle…. ITS BACK.

Of course, Abhay was not there in the bathroom. He is not a spirit – he is a physical living dead. The Abhay in Piya's mirror was not Abhay. It was Piya Jaiswal, or should I say Abhay's Piya strongly raising her head inside Piya Dobriyaal . Piya Jaiswal is running back to Abhay and Piya Dobriyaal doesn't know what to do.

Abhay is back. And if he is back, Piya has no option but to be BACK.

You are right , Piya. You are losing it , indeed. Losing it all over again. Losing it all over again over Abhay and maybe it is worse than the last time. Last time , you hid behind Kabir. This time? Jay, maybe. Go ahead . Move on and show it to us how you can move on. Actually , that is the real test. Go and find a new love , so that we can see if you and Abhay are indeed the soulmates you both are believed to be. You don't even remember him and look at you- you are going insane over him all over again.

Run , Piya. Run again. If only you knew that you and Abhay have just one geography lesson written in your destiny. All the paths that you both will ever walk are ROUND.

P.S- Guys, Vivian Dsena and Sukirti Khandpal deserve applause for that underwater sequence. Its very tough to shoot and hold your breath under water for so long. Most of the actors simply refuse to shoot underwater even if it's a small swimming pool. But the two lead actors did it and it is not easy at all to shoot underwater and it takes a long time as well. They both not only shot under water but did a good job as well. Special hugs to the director.

P.P.S – How many of you think that Piya is going to faint if she actually sees Abhay again in flesh and blood?

that beginning just made a tear emerge from its origin..and that water scene was making all my hunger on looking at an abhiya moment so worthwhile..but i was under the impression that there will some real raichand action and scene...that overt excitement was kind of crushed afterwards..although..im happy neel's character finally has a different dimension to itself..but i was dissappointed as i thought i would get something much more dhamekdaar.Although , as usual..somehow your posts have their uncanny ability to calm me down and dive into the world of fable beauty :)

True abhiya r magical...n its their magic tht bring smile 2 our faces...totally depressed after watching the episode...total crap...except abhiya moment...it was out of the world...v saw thm 2gthr...the moment was thr...bt only for 4 min...disappointed...whr is abhay??????????????? the song was awesum...thr signature song...5 min were superb...
