Jai and Roshni's Dark Past - The Reason's

If any of you guys have seen the Akshay Kumar – Kareena Kapoor – Priyanka Chopra starrer "Aitraaz"….then I think we might have one prediction of what is the dark past that lurks behind Jai and Roshni!

In the movie, Akshay and Priyanka's character are supposed to be in an intimate relationship. While Akshay is not exactly in love with Priyanka, he wants to marry her nevertheless, but Priyanka is way to ambitious to be tied down by marriage ect. Priyanka gets pregnant by Akshay, but gets her child aborted and tells Akshay to let them continue their relationship in the same vein. Akshay is very put-off by her and breaks off all relations and they both part ways!

Later Akshay marries Kareena and falls in love with her, but Priyanka comes back into their lives and wants Akshay back now. Akshay is not able to confess his past to Kareena and he keeps protecting her from knowing the truth!

Could this be the case with Jai and Roshni also???

Although, the chances of this happening are pretty bleak, because apparently according to the articles that we have read, Roshni indeed wanted to marry Jai and they were both almost married, till something happened and they both parted ways!

So, another reasoning could be that, the way Pia ditched Jai at the altar and walked out on their marriage day, Jai could have done something exactly similar to Roshini, walked out of the wedding without any concrete reason….but unlike Pia, he would have told Roshni on the face that he has decided he cannot take a plunge into their marriage as he realized he doesn't love her. Since Roshni would have been powerless to do anything against Jai, she would have just gone out of his life, vowing to get back at Jai one day, and that one fine day has come now. The last thing Jai would want Bani to know would be that, Pia did to him, what he had done to someone….Jai would lose all moral ground to ever say a word against Pia, Pushkar and Bani!

These are the only two probable reasons I can see for Jai being so upset and irritated with Roshni, yet unable to refuse her! But I also do not see this as Jai getting blackmailed....he seems to be under some kind of emotional pressure from Roshini, but not exactly blackmailed by her......😕

MT......u noe wat.....u might b rite n it actually makes sense.........(i really hope ur rite)......i mean the fact tht mayb it was jai who walked of on roshni n his wedding day n doesn't want bani to find out tht he has done the same thing as pia.......cause than i think there is a great chance for bani n jai to cum together after this misunderstanding is over......n i truly hope tht the secret or the dark past b/w roshni n jai is nothing more serious than wat u said....cause if it is then it will b really heart breaking.......n it will definitely break bani's heart.....poor gurl!!!.....n i don't want to c her heart broken ny more 😭 .......

wow this really does seem sooo probable! never thought of this. adding to this reason, maybe the reason why jai backed off before/during the marriage might be jigs insinuating doubts in his mind about his decision!

but i wonder why jai is not taking any firm stand against roshni, in the sense that why doesnt he refuse her outright? he might be rude to her but he is still listening to her/taking her phone calls etc! is it his guilt? or something else??

This whole part appears to be very confusing....really want to see how it unfolds. Apparently Maasi also reacted to the 'rajnigandha' flowers so she is aware of this too. Jigs is in and we have to assume that Aditya knows something too..........?

As of now MT your second reason sounds most probable and Jigs played a pivotal role in that breakup.

I thought wen u mentioned Aitraaz u were going to pick on its other main issue of PRIANKA sexually exploiting Akshay. I thought wen u were tryin to connect it wid Kasamh se U meant like ROSHINI sexually exploited Jai in the past. 😆 😆 😆 But thank god u picked THE other theme of the movie. 😆 😆

Definitely for sure roshni and jai may have intimate relation in the past. But i think even jigaysa was involved in the break off between them. You could never know that Roshni may have got a kid from their past.

But i think i cant understand is Jai said the only person he loved is Pia and she ditched him. Did he love others too. Aditya who is Jai best friend must have seen roshni. No expression were shown about him. Roshni affair i think only three poeple knew Mausi, Jigs and Jai.

Roshni is Jai dark past which he has not revealed to anyone and Mt has you said may be Jai may have jilted her on wedding altar and shes back for revenge. The reasons for turning down Roshni are best known to Jai but I have a strong feeling Jigs is involved and Maasi may be also aware of the fact. 😕

hhhmmm...jai doesnt seem like the guy to walk out on sum1 esp on "their" wedding day...thats y he was sooo angry with pia n pushkar...b/c jai is a very loyal guy n he cant seem to tolerate back stabbers....thats y he hates pushkar sooo much...so i think that aitraaz scenario is very possible...as a matter of fact...i was also thinking that it must be something like this...otherwise y would be such a "dark" past....but one thing is for sure...Jai never loved Roshni...b/c he talks to her in such an irritated n dislike way...i think Roshni's love was one sided just like Jai's love for Pia was one sided...and maybe thats y Roshni is able to understand the pain Jai is going thru n wants to help him out in order to get close to him...

More than anything else, Jai looks guilty when he faces Roshni...Guilty and extremely uncomfortable, but not scared at all...the first time he hears her voice, when she speaks to Bani, Jai's face goes white, as if he has seen a Ghost....But I perceived his reaction to be more of a complelte shock than fear! (Fear is one emotion which doesn't gel with Jai Walia's character at all!)

Also, an article mentioned that the reason Roshni couldn't marry Jai was because of Jigyasa's manipulation (here we go again) and because of some circumstances....hence my guess is that although Jai was never in love with Roshni, he was nevertheless committed to marry her (more like an arranged marriage) but something happened in the last moment, that led to Jai walking out of their relationship leaving Roshni shattered and alone, just the way he was left shattered and alone by Pia...

And later Jai might have come to know that whatever the reasons Jai had in mind for not marrying Roshni were false and he had indeed wronged Roshni by ditching at....but it was too late to go back again and he anyway never had any feeligs for her...but Jai being Jai, would have been besieged by guilt about what he did to Roshni and that thing must have weighed on his mind...

I remember the scene where Jai had asked Pia is she had a past and she had refused on his face and Jai had just begun to say something about his past and Pia had told him that she is only interested in his present and future and not in his past which had made Jai stop from telling Pia whatever he was intending to tell her...Roshni could have been the past that Jai had wanted Pia to know....

Also, since everyone in the family seems to know about Roshni (Mausi, Jigyasa, Ranveer and Aditya also) that means Roshni was known very well to Jai's family also...and whatever occured was known to everyone, judging from Aditya's shocked look when he sees Roshni and then Mausi's face clouding with anxiety and fear as she sees the "Rajnigandha flowers" sent for Jai....hence, whatever happened is something that Jai definitely doesn't want Bani to know about!

Whatever transpired between Jai and Roshni in the past, one thing is clear, that the upper-hand belongs to Roshni, she is the one who is the victim (in the way that Jai is the victim in the Pia-Pushkar-Bani-Jai drama) and hence Jai is morally obligated to her....

I think Mausi will be the one to tell Bani about what had occured....
