As the serial starts, we resume, from the scene, where the goondas, under the
leadership of Usman Bhai, were having an altercation with the lawyer, Mr. Joshi. After being convinced that it would not be a good deal to take the house, he is persuaded to take the fifteen lakhs, and they leave, to the great relief of the Patwardan family. The lawyer has some light banter with Daksh, and lets him know, that he had bluffed Usman, who is not well versed in law, about the Government Law. He also tells him that though he did not relish a case like this, what he said about his family affected him, and he made up his mind to come to his help. Daksh thanks him, and introduces him to his parents and his family. Later he takes their leave, and expressing his pleasure to have met such a nice family he leaves with his two assistants.
In the corridor, Abhi intercepts Naina, and tries to have some romantic talk, and she does not take him seriously. When he holds her hand, she tells him not to do so, as some one would see them. Abhi does not want her to be afraid, and he tells her all are happy, and she has won over his mother, and that has made him very happy. His only regret is that she has not reciprocated his love, and told him, that she too loves him, as he does. She does not want to give him a reply and wants to evade the answer, and just then she has a visitor. She tries to give him excuses, as she has no answer, and she does not like to tell him the truth, that in fact she does not love him, as he imagines. Her idea of love does not fit in his way of thinking.
In the Doli aur Barat, office, they are very busy, and in comes our Minoo Maushi, elegant and dignified as ever, with her spectacles and chain hanging on either side. She walks in and sees the interior of the office, and the love and care showered on it, by the one and only Naina. She is very impressed, as now she can view things without a jaundiced eye. She asks Akruti for some time, and wishes to have a talk with her. They come to an arrangement, regarding the management of the business.
We see Minoo Tai, has left Doli aur Barat, and gone to see Naina, and finds her talking to Abhi. She interrupts them, just as Abhi was expecting an answer from Naina, regarding her love for him. His mother asks Naina to accompany her downstairs and she follows her to the hall below, leaving Abhi in the air, guessing what might have come out of Naina's mouth.
Downstairs, the family is gathered, and Rohini also is sitting and taking her well deserved pregnancy rest. This is the first time I have seen a pregnant woman taking so much rest, as most women I know, used to work till the last moment and used to stand firm on both legs. This is over dramatization, of a very common situation in every family. Minoo Tai, comes down with Naina, and is trailed by Abhi behind them. She had called Akruti also for the meeting and is pleased that she too has come.
in her usual elegant demeanor she wants to rehabilitate Naina, whom she had run rough
shod on, for a long time. She praises her in every way she can think of. She finds her manners to be of the highest order Her humility and submissiveness, was well worthy of appreciation. She gave up a job, which she loved so much, and on which she had lavished so much attention, without any struggle, to please her. And best of all was her generosity of sacrificing all that she had, for a family's self respect and honor, and which for her was the noblest form of behavior which made her feel, that she had misjudged this good girl, right from the beginning. She is humble enough to admit that she was wrong and Naina was right. And now to set things right, she calls Akruti and takes her file and keys from her and gives it back to Naina telling her that she has proved that she can be a good home maker as well as true to a profession of her choice. Minoo tells her to look after her business, and she knows without doubt, that she will be equally devoted to her home, and she is the luckiest woman to have a daughter in law like this, and wife for her son. Naina and Abhi leave to look after the affairs of the office.
When they are gone, Minoo Tai praises Naina to her sister, and she is very pleased and full of smiles and contentment, that her sister has finally recognized the worth of Naina. Minoo Tai tells her sister, that they should call her parents to Mumbai and discuss with them. Vibha is a bit tense, and sensing her tension, Rohini starts her long playing record. "We do not know much of Naina's family. All we know is what she was here when she was with them. She never told us any thing about her past or her family." Minoo Tai tells her, that from what she has seen, she knows that she is from a good family, and her behavior is a testimony for her upbringing. Vibha remembers the visit of Anjali, and how when she asked if she was her mother, Naina had told her that she was her guardian. Rohini continues her comments, saying: "Yes, some one from Darjeeling had come here, and we came to know that she was her guardian." Minoo asks about her to Vibha and she tells her she was "Mrs. Anjali". Minoo Tai tells her sister to get in touch with Anjali, as she might know the address of her parents. Rohini feels that she has been let down again.
When Naina has got her keys back, she is very happy, and her heart is brimming with joy and then comes her joker fiance, and wants to share her joy with him. But Naina says she wants to tell Daksh first, and tries to call his number and complains that she
can not make the contact. Abhi is a bit hurt, and says, after all Daksh is her best friend. He gets a call, and he leaves the office to attend it. Naina is alone and trying to get Daksh on the line. Then, she notices Akruti very depressed and down. She is just entering the office. She wants to know what is bothering her, and eventually, finds out that Ayush has taken a long leave and not gone to Bangalore, where they do not even have an office. She says, that she does not know why Ayush lied to her. Naina is very concerned for her friend and the child who is growing within her. At the back of the mind, she must be having the nagging feeling of the tragic situation she herself found out, when she came to know that she was an illegitimate child. She does not want any one else in the world to go through that experience. Naina suggests to Akruti that they speak about this to Daksh, when she finds out that Ayush has lied to her. Akruti is very frightened at the prospect, and she sobs and hugs Naina, who tenderly caresses her, as if she is her own younger sister.
At this very time, Shyamal gets a call from Shridar, and he wants her to ask his brother and sister in law to arrange fifteen lakhs. He gets annoyed when she interrupts him, and wants to tell something, and he puts the phone down, thinking that she is reluctant to ask his brother and family. Then she calls the number again, from the ID left on the phone, and the man gives her the address, thinking she is a client. Shyamal discusses with her sister in law, and wants to give this matter to the police, as she is fed up with her husband and has no hope of him changing himself. Vibha tries to dissuade her.
They make a plan to see the parents of Ayush, and go to their house. The maid, closes the door on them, and then, she enter the house from the rear door. And when the maid sees them she yells at them, and then they hear a voice, asking, "Have you closed the door properly?" and out comes Ayush, and is caught red handed. More on Monday.
