This is precisely the question i want to ask? SSBN was different from other soaps in being a show with a strong character as the protagonist. What I want to ask is how many people here can say that what Naina is doing is right? I never liked the female leads in other soaps who do not live their own life and just do household chores all day long. SSBN was the story of a smart girl who was modern and intelligent. Then why are we now shown a Naina who is just sacrificing her dreams for her "family's happiness?"
How many people can say that Naina is right in her own place. She is absolutely wrong to me. I never expected Naina to take such a step. The Naina for whom we watched SSBN was smart and intelligent. This Naina is foolish. That Naina fought for herself. This Naina is submissive.
The truth is people like Minoo Maushi are never satisfied. They always demand for more. Their demands have no end. They will never appreciate your efforts.
Abhi on the other hand has been developed into a verynarrow-minded guy. He does not know how to deal with his family. He cannot see through Naina's smiles for her sadness. He will keep on expecting things from her. Naina will keep on exhausting herself to meet her husband and her mother-in-law's demands. But that is a cycle and there will be no end to it. She has lost her financial independence.
This Naina is W-E-A-K!
Another question is, does being modern mean you have no character? Many modern people are far better in their personality than people who take God's name all day long.

I agree completely. The reason I luved this show was because it showed a young independent woman. No its become a joke. Whats really unbelievable is Daksh seems to be the only one who realizes whats happening. Naina had completely lost her mind.

I guess this eventually will tie in with Akku's track. Naina may realize, that she (like Akku) has also sacrificed for a love in name only. Love doesn't simply exist because someone calls it that.

Watch, in the most unexpected of moments Naina will realize this. And then she'll think back, and realize Abhi has never acted like he loved her. And then her thoughts will turn to Daksh, and how his every move speaks of loving devotion. And then she'll remember that time when Daksh was like, marry me instead!

Its going to happen, but in SSBN style it'll happen in a unique and unexpected way... (hopefully soon though!!--- I can't take Abhi the idiot anymore----and I'm started to dislike Naina as well :(

I hear you and I completely agree that it is very distressing to watch Naina lose herself in this track!

But just in Naina's defence I'd like to say a few things:

Naina's behaviour has nothing to do with feminism or strength as it is understood in general. There are a few things in her past and in her mental make up that are leading to her behaving in this uncharacterisc manner.

First, we should understand that Naina is a wounded person. She has seen bitter rejection and she has all her life tried to PLEASE someone to get their love. She has low expections from her life. She does not even expect LOVE, she just expects warmth at the most. She just wants a safe nest, that's all.

Abhi and Mousi have both caught Naina at her most vulnerable. Abhi offered her affection and the prospect of belonging somewhere. Naina may be secure with Aayi but remember that DAKSH HAS NOT PROPOSED TO HER. The Patwardhans are still only friends where she is a paying guest.

Naina is used to be tested - possibly the poor thing thinks that she must prove herself always to be loved, that she needs to EARN love from those around her. 😭😕 - how can she think otherwise? She has never been loved, never been shown that she is loved. By loving her and not giving her that love, Daksh was tardy. Naina thinks she is not worthy of marrying into a 'sanskari' family, that she must alter herself to fit the profile. She is wrong, of course but she feels impelled to go as far as she can.

Another plus for Naina is that Abhi is related to the Patwardhans - she thinks she can be bonded to them forever by marrying into the family - if only she knew that Daksh was hers for the asking!

I'm feeling very bad for Naina and for Daksh also.

But the track is about three weeks old now - hopefully we'll see it winding up soon and we can enter the next phase 😃

Naina is not weak she is on a roller coster of feelings and mixed emotions!!!! when you have no one close (family) to talk to and to make a decision like marriage, love starting a new life with someone you hardly know. Naina is trying to pleases eveyone around her but lost who she realy is and what she set out to achive in her life.

Naina does not even love Abhi, Why would she allow his monster amma to disrupt her well settled life? I think this show is also going the Saas Bahu ki Mahabharat way

this was my question few days before and i made a post on it...but some of the friends have answered it very well...its only dat naina wants to prove herSself a good DIL...she underestimates herself as she had not got the pervarish and all dat ..dat is reqired to be a good DIL...and she thinks she is very lucky to get this proposal and trying her best to satisfy her MIL...and in dis process she is not even considering whom her heart wants to be with...

I didn't like to watch the show anymore.I just read the written update. This show became foolish show.Naina came to fullfill her dream. Her dream to become wedding planer not housewife. Now I feel Naina's main goal to marry someone.Naina looks like puppy who try to made her owner happy. This is disgusting. If Naina loves Abhi then I understand but she doesn't love Abhi.So why try to made Abhi's mother happy.
