The story starts with Daksh and Naina, where he reminds her how she loved her work, and how it made her happy. He suggests that she should not sacrifice herself just for the sake of making his aunt happy. When he reminds her of Shristi's wedding in Darjeeling, she recalls, that he never liked her then, and a smile lights up her face.
Akruti spends a uneasy night, without proper sleep, with haunting dreams disturbing her through the night. Flashes of Ayush and the things which led her to her present condition, and the warning which Naina had given her, the things she had committed to do, which would have safeguarded her. Suddenly she wakes up, and goes in front of the altar of Ganapati, and fervently prays to him, as his devoted child, to deliver her from her predicament. She is in tears. At the moment nothing makes sense to her and then she thinks of calling Ayush, but it is very early in the morning.
The family is all waiting for Ayee to serve them their breakfast round the dining table. Abhi is anxiously waiting for Naina, and Daksh asks his mother about her, and she says she too is waiting for her. Then Rohini comes with her aunts spectacles, and gives them to her, trying to ingratiate herself into her good books, and as she does this, her Ayee looks at her with disapproval. She comes out with her salvo against Naina, and tells them, that she has gone to work, as her window was closed. Minoo Tai is jumping the gun, and saying that Naina has not come, because she does not want to give
up the job. Minoo Tai tells Abhi, that she has not only shown disregard to her, but also to Abhi, by going to work. As they are contemplating what Minoo will do, Naina arrives on the scene, with a file and wishes them. She is all smiles and tells Maushi, that she has decided to do what she wants, and is much relieved as now she can stay at home, and learn from her. They ask where Akruti is and then she too comes there, and Naina hands over the keys of the Doli aur Barat, to her with the final instructions and tells her that she is handing over the business to her, and in case she needs help, she will be there for her, giving her the advice. Naina too sits for breakfast, and tells them that she will prepare the tea, and asks Minoo Tai to teach her Maharashtrian cooking. Abhi tells his mother, that Naina has not yet spoken to her parents, and that she should speak to them. Minoo Tai feels that it will look too abrupt, and suggests that Naina invite them both, to Mumbai, and they discuss everything here, on the spot. Naina is lost, in thought. Daksh wants to get up and go without his breakfast, but his mother tells him to finish it and then go.
In the room upstairs, Daksh is packing up his briefcase, and downstairs, Minoo Tai gets a call, and she leaves. Then the phone rings in front of Abhi, and he takes it up, and goes out too. He takes it to Daksh and gives it to him, as he had forgotten it downstairs in a hurry, as he left in a huff. Abhi tries to argue with Daksh for getting angry with him, and tells him, that now Naina is going to be his wife, and even though she was his friend, he has to take this into consideration, when dealing with her. Daksh gives him a piece of his mind, and Abhi leaves him and goes down.
Naina then comes to speak to Daksh and tells him not to get angry with her. She tells him, that she is relieved, but he is upset, and indifferent, and leaves, and Naina runs after him into the garden. Just then Seema comes for advice from Naina, and is told to wait for Akruti who will tell her what to do, and Seema leaves her. As they are speaking out their mind it ends up cordially, and Daksh is about to get into the car, when two men push the gate and come in, talking loudly about the Patwardan house, and Daksh is surprised.
Akruti decides to call Ayush, and sees that there is no response on the phone as it is switched off. Then she takes his office card, and calls the office, and the peon tells her that they do not have an office in Bangalore, and Ayush has taken a month's leave and gone. Even if he had gone to Bangalore, he has not left his forwarding address r telephone. Akruti is upset.
In the pre-cap we see them telling that they have purchased this house, and that they have to vacate. Vidhyadar tries to find out what has happened, and he comes to know that Shridar has taken a new loan and sold the house. Vidhyadar tells them that he has taken money from the bank, and they laugh at him. They tell him, that his banker is Usman, and he gave him twenty lakhs for the house, and took five lakhs which Shridar owned, and gave him the balance of fifteen lakhs and they are all stunned. Minoo Tai too comes there and perhaps she thinks the wedding plans will go on the back burner, while the house problem is settled.
