It was apparently actor Sunil Dutt's brave attempt of rescuing co-star Nargis during a fire that spread out of control during the shooting of Mother India that won over the actress' heart.

Interestingly, a similar incident rocked the sets of filmmaker Pankaj Kapur's Mausam recently. Never mind that there's no love story that blossomed here between the leading actors — Shahid Kapur and Sonam Kapoor — who were involved in the recent accident. According to an insider, the near fatal mishap occurred on the sets when Sonam and Shahid were shooting for their climax scene together.

"The scene required the ends of Sonam's dupatta to catch fire and Shahid to then step in and stomp it out with his foot. However due to a sudden gush of wind, the fire spread faster than anticipated and before anyone could sense what was happening, the fire had crept up to Sonam's body," said the insider recalling the incident.

"Even Sonam didn't realise the danger immediately, but Shahid, who was standing nearby, did and jumped to her rescue much before he was required to and stomped out the fire with such force that it completely ripped the dupatta," another source added.

But the entire unit panicked, including Kapoor Sr, Shahid and Sonam remained calm all through and even urged the rest to finish the shoot. "But of course, new dupattas had to be arranged as the earlier was completely damaged," the source said.

"Sonam did thank Shahid, but beyond becoming better friends, there were no other sparks flying between the two," a close friend of the two actors added. There may or may not be a love story waiting to happen here, but seems like it's a friendship that turned out to be too hot to handle... well, almost!

And...now they are going to get married and live happily ever after..like Sunil Dutt- NArgis.
I sometimes wonder why there are ONLY news about fighting between Sonam & Shahid...never ever of any outings, dinner and funtimes. 😊😳
WHY??????
Why these two don't get along????😃😆
