First Chapter
Lying on her bed and staring at the ceiling of the room, Taani banerjee could not believe that the very next day was her wedding day; her destiny has chosen her soul mate, who she hardly knows or met twice or thrice. It was very impossible to believe that a girl of 21st century could agree for an arrange marriage without knowing the person well, on just approval of her parents and for the girl like Taani Banerjee who had always dreamt of a love marriage and wanted a childhood sweetheart but dreams are just dreams as parents really don't understand these wacky dreams and Taani was a girl who could never go against her father's wish or will not be allowed to.
Tomorrow was her wedding and all the house was echoing with noise of people discussing things, children playing around, her sister busy instructing dresses to the designer, her mom wanting caterers to present the best cuisines, her father calling decorator about the decorations of wedding place and the best mandap to be made for his daughter's wedding and other relatives canvassing about the things to be given to groom and his family. The entire house was sparkling with glittering of lights, every wall adorning flowers, drapes and valences all around.
But no one knows for whom all this chaos was going on is silently weeping in her room; sleep was no where nearby her, her eyes were blood shot anyone could make out that the girl was crying from past many hours. Throwing the blanket towards the other side she got up to give one last chance, to see him one last time if fate favors her, splashing water on her face to remove the stains of sleepless night she was wiping her face with towel when she opened her laptop and to her amazement and disillusion he was there, finally after 3 months her profile was showing him to be online. But if not in these 3 months then why now? Why? She was questioning to herself, why he lost his contact? Was she the only one who took it seriously? Was it was just fortuitous random encounter? Does all that 12 years meant nothing to him?
With trembling fingers she finally managed to type "You There?" hoping for his reply for one last time.
"Jumanji, is that you?" his question beamed at her screen.
The tears that were stitched at the back of her eyes were finally down it was like the dam finally broke down, tears were flowing uncontrollably, he is there indeed he is, when she needed him he was not there and now just few hours before her fate to overshadow he was here with his cheeky replies.
"Shining star" absent mindedly she typed.
These were the names these two gave to each other during their chats, he was indeed her shining star who used to help her in any matter whether related to her school work, sports or if she was upset because of any scolding, he was always there for her by her side. The only person who was her teacher in studies during exams, best friend in her gloomy moments, best mate in rejoicing moments, a guide in her dilemma and greatly possessive on seeing any other boy's name with her and she was his Jumanji he kept her name when she came to meet her on net after watching Jumanji and continuously blabbered about the movie for 3 hours.
Her childhood was like all other's filled with fun, enjoyment, love and care of elders, anger from elders on few matters, hatred for exams, and urgency to grow into adult very soon but in her childhood there was something special, unique, different from others she got her best friend at age of 12 on Internet, that time she had newly learnt to operate Internet when 1 day accidentally she met him, her Shining Star, key to her heart, Lav.
After almost 3 months he was again reading the name which he love to hear but only from her mouth, during their Phone conversation too she never addressed him with his name but always only Shining star was on her lips.
Several time they had Phone conversation but never could be able to have a video chat as her brother was strict about it that his baby sister is too innocent and can take wrong moves which always used to make Lav to fall in fits of laughter whenever she used to reason out for not having a web cam and used to pass sarcastic comments for having a mobile, does for it too his brother's sis is not small and innocent!!.
"How could he when he doesn't know what his sister does in the name of discussing projects or school work" he used to tease.
As mentioned above that this is very old one so I didn't read agin except chaging name where I could find by glancing so spare me for any mistakes or any editing faults😳
