Hey Raven
I personally think it takes loads of courage to come out and talk about ones private life, their emotions, feelings and situations. Kudos for helping us understand from someone who has been there perspective. My prayers and wishes go out to you. Be Bold n brave n strong...
Just read your take on Aham & Gopi, I agree with what you and many others like Elizabeth (avivakirk), Shilpa et al. I have always felt that marriage is a union not of two people but more importantly of two minds. Minds who need not think alike but know what it means to the other and know where they want to be eventually.. Its more of trust, respect and a sense of belonging.
I concur when you say Gopi is not innocent anymore, after a year or her 21years(her age maybe), she is feeble minded, cant understand or do things in one go. I am an on -off viewer and believe me gets on my nerves. My sympathies definitely lay with Aham. An educated being has more ideas and expectations of/from a partner than an uneducated or simple-minded one.
I agree when all of you say a smile or any simple act maybe mistaken for an act of love or feeling and this is another reason why Aham is so uptight. The only way the show can progress logically/practically is when Gopi smartens up or when they separate and marry like minded or suitable people.
Cheers
