TOI: Angad celebrated Mother's day

Actor Angad Hasija who is playing Shankar in Siddarth Tewary's Phulwa is amazed at the response he is getting for his performance.

Recently his mother's five friends called him up to congratulate him for his acting and the novelty factor of the show. He was surprised that all of them called him on the same day. His own mother who lives in Chandigarh also called him after seeing the episode. "I can't understand how come all the women called him on the same day. I felt it was mother's day for me," he says.

Angad in real life considers his own mother Babli equal to God. "My mother being a single parent, has brought me up all by herself. She was the one who took the initiative and suggested that I should come to Mumbai from Delhi to try my luck in acting. It's her blessings that I got the lead role in Bidaai followed by Phulwa. I have got recognition in the TV industry all by myself. She always tells me to work hard and that it is is the only investment that never fails. She always says there is no short cut to success and she is very true," he shares. We appreciate this obsession for your mother Angad!
