Rupali Ganguly
What do Queen Latifah, Tom Hanks and Angelina Jolie have in common with Rupali Ganguly? They all have dubbed for animation films.

After taking a break from playing the whacky Monisha in Star One's Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai, Rupali Ganguly has moved towards animation films. The actress recently lent her voice for an animation film.

Talking about the experience, Rupali says, "I've dubbed for Vishnu Dash Avtaar where I play an apsara. I think the makers must have been inspired from Monisha to cast me in that role." The project also has names like Shreyas Talpade as Narad Muni and Sachin Khedekar in the role of Vishnu.

"The interesting part is that they will be sketching the characters based on the way our voices have turned out. I think animation in India has come a long way and opened doors for more film makers."

Bumped into people

Rupali is working on other TV shows and looking for other interesting opportunities, "I am shooting for Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Besides that, I am chilling out and looking out for something good to come my way."

Just a few days back, on the auspicious Akshay Tritiya day, Rupali bumped into some people who made her day. "I was coming out of my studio after dubbing and I met Lata Mangeshkar. I am a huge fan of hers like every one else.

When I told her my name, she immediately associated me with my dad — Anil Ganguly. I have met her a couple of times before as well due to my dad's association with films."

Met John and Bips

However the best moment for Rupali came when Lataji said, "Tum serial mein kaam karte ho na, jahan tumhari saas tumse jhagadti hai."

Rupali said, "I was thrilled when I heard she watched Sarabhai. Coming from Lataji, it was definitely more than a compliment." The same evening, Rupali was introduced to Bipasha and John at an event.

"Bips told me how much her mom loves watching Sarabhai. We then got together, and yapped in Bengali and caught up on the happenings. John
