Going over the past few episodes of GHSP, a person wonders what happened. Why a sensible journey of a woman's life was transformed in to a comedy. There are scores of people trying to salvage the show and bring up the TRP's however the point is that if they do manage to save the show, will the creatives go back to the original concept?
GHSP had subtle humour in the form of the cute nok - jhok between Maan - Geet and then some amazing humorous scenes between Adi and Maan 😳which was enough for the audience to enjoy the story along with the serious issue that it was tackling. Somehow, the story changed from its high point of Arjun finding out the truth (Don't even get me started on the introduction of Annie 🤢) from Sameer and then things went downhill.
Geet leaving the house due to Maan's very rude comment could have opened doors to so many plots. Geet could have actually made it big away from home and Maan would have respected her after coming down from his high horsešŸ‘. But no, Geet again landed up in Beeji's house with comic elements such as Jugnu mama, Lucky, Lacchi and Yashpal. Why was this needed? Geet has not returned to Delhi because of her family this time and this is the same girl who left her family behind because they did not uphold women's respect. If Beeji was fair from the very onset, why didn't Geet go to her Maasi then?
Basically, the plot is developed as episodes go. The love story is working, put in a lot of eye locks, near kisses and sensuous scenes (due to Maan and Geet's explosive chemistry). Comedy is working, put in 4 comic characters at one time. Has no one heard of taking the middle path. The elements of comedy, romance and drama have to be balanced. I am no expert at romance therefore, my question is to the married viewers of this show. Do eyelocks continue between married couples even months after the marriage?šŸ˜• Why is Geet ALWAYS shy in front of Maan? At least before marriage they have given her some bold scenes but now they have changed her characterization.
Please do not take me wrong. I am a crazy fan of this show and have written 3 fan fictions on it which is the reason it hurts me to see this show being butchered so mercilessly. My spirit died the day Geet felt bad for Dev not getting Nandini. The guy slept with her despite being married and then abandoned her. How can that can be forgiven? Even if it can be how can Geet get her own sister even consider someone like that. The idea is ludicrous. The creatives still have time to save the show and go back to where they started bringing logic back but if they don't ... A lot of hearts will break on this forum 😭😭😭

Guess what ...i too was pondering about this since yesterday...I know those days the episodes were really something ...in fact they were the ones that got most of us hooked to the show. But we must understand that those days the story-line was different...the show had just started ...there was a totally charm as Maneet were in the initial stages of their relationship...they met, fought, were attracted to each other, then discovered their undying love for each other...all this had a charm of its own...there was also much scope for the story-writer, screenplay writer and the dialogue writer...after Mnaeet's marriage that scope has considerably lessened...now the story is not about Geet who is a harassed girl but a married woman...even the love scenes are now seen from a different perspective...We can't blame the makers...when a show has gone on fro over a year the there is no newness in the show...I think we should watch the story as it is shown and accept that now the focus of the show has to shift from Maneet to others...so long as the episodes and story-line is interesting let's watch it with a positive attitude...at least that will be better than having the channel axe the show...which they could do if we continue grumbling and complaining about it...sorry but this is my POV...

I totally understand your point of view, Mehek but my problem is mainly the theme of the show changing. I dont mind the freshness not being there but one scene in particular will show you why I am so annoyed. It is when Geet hears Dev talking against Nandini to the prospective groom. It has been treated comically but it was not supposed to be. He has played with one life and was about to play with another. How can it be treated lightly? It was ok if this was a comedy to begin with but its not therefore, the creatives are insulting our intelligence to a very large degree 😲
