This country is no greater than any other. But as you say, it's not any worse. The men are worst in India, thats what I'm saying. That's because initially the respect for women was so low. Hopefull that will change.

The country is great Vinuji...most men are not...if you ask the women folk of India most of them have the same opinion of men as jetty...myself included...

Speaking of my experience in India and USA...I would say...Ladies only for most of the places in India...Ladies only for the restrooms only in the US...

The problem in India is that if a male harasses a female and she goes and files a complaint with the police ...the police is going to harass the women more...I have absolutely no faith in the Indian police or the Judicial system...they r corrupt to the core...

Here in the US...atleast u can hope to get justice if u file a complaint...

India is an very populated country and such facilities may give bit comfortable for ladies as well as it may reduce the sexual harassment (specially in peak hour trains).

There should be 3 divisions:
Men only
Women only
Inbetween or undecided

Whenever there is a discussion of this sort in DM, members (especially women members) always accuse Indian men of being perverts who sexually harass women at every opportunity.
Now I don't know about sexual harassment, cos honestly I haven't seen it happening on streets, although it must be happening somewhere. But what I know is that most Indians, both men and women, lack culture and refinement. They spit everywhere, talk too loudly, use profanities even in front of children, feel the need to write their name everywhere, don't know how to dress properly and have no sense of aesthetics and I can go on and on.
But what I don't understand is how all this happened. India was not like this. The people who ruled India were not like this, so we can't blame them either. Then how did this transformation take place, how did Indians become so crude?

We(men) should understand that and behave accordingly.😃

Don't know how it is in the other countries...If you compare population ratio and other factor like, in US 98% peoples are educated... that means Harrassment incedent does'nt happen!!!??
