Lovely piece of writing, Caris ..
However I wish to clarify one thing here ..it is said that if Krishna can sleep with Pratigya , then he can bloody well apply sindoor too...That for me is two different things ... [plus Krishna slept on the same bed but did not enjoy any conjugal bliss as is obvious by both their attitudes...
coming to the point , Both the gender looks on copulation in a different way , we only sleep with a guy whom we love, for us emotions play a important part but for a man, his needs play a bigger role than his emotions ..he is able to cut his emotional link when the desire is in him ...whereas the sindoor is sacred and here his emotions come into play and his judgement is based on his emotions ... Men are a tad complicated !..I know I have not elaborated..but since u r married, I know u can understand what I am talking about..😊
I know what you mean hun.. 😉
I was thinking abt the time in the bedroom when Pratigya was mollifying him.. he was up for showing her there is no distance between them and was all happy go lucky.. when it came to that.
My statement is more towards - you know By applying the sindoor you are showing your wife that she is your wife and respecting her.. which he didn't do.
But then on the other hand he expects her to oblige for his needs an play wife..
At that moment.. Looking at Pratigya's face.. it's like a wife is being used as a woman in the bedroom .. but her husband can't even do this much for her.. (respect) Though we know he can tilt the world upside down for her..
But yes you too are right in your theroy abt one being sacred and the other being a need.
But I was thinking that both show - a man doing something with his wife.
