So I will try my best to give you guys an update a week for both FF's, or maybe 2 a week if I'm feeling generous (& tired of revision)

A worried Geet paced her bedroom floor up & down, her phone in her hand, worried about Dadima. Pari walked past the room & saw her sister muttering to herself.
"Geet, is everything ok?" she asked, stepping inside.
"I think Dadima is really ill. I just talked to Maan right now & he said that she's not feeling so good. He told me to call back later, and it's only been half an hour since, but I can't help myself. She seems like such a nice lady, and she's our future mother in law too, I just-"
"Calm down. You're acting like me now, getting all tense and worked up. Let's call Maan and see if there's any improvement."

Maan just walked into the Khurana Mansion when his phone began to ring. He saw the caller ID - Geet.
"Oh no," he muttered before answering the call. "Hello."
"It's me, Geet. How's Dadima now? I'm sorry to keep calling you but I'm really worried."
"Uh... she's ok now..." he trailed off. He looked up towards the long staircase & noticed Dev making his way downstairs.
"Can I talk to her?" asked Geet. Pari was sat next to her, listening in closely.
"Well... I..."
"Please? I just want to know if she's ok."
Maan began to panic when Dev reached the bottom of the stairs.
"Hey, bro," he said, walking up to him. Maan ran up to him, his hand over the earpiece & whispered.
"I had to lie to Geet, I told her Dadima was ill. You have to pretend to be Dadima for me."
"What?!"
"Shh, she probably has supersonic ears, she'll hear! Please, Dev? For your elder brother."
"Bro, I don't know how to act like Dadima-"
"Dev, please!"
Dev sighed, took the phone from Maan and attempted a high pitched voice.
"Hello?" he said in a voice that sounded more like a 10 year old boy than a sophisticated dadima.
Maan slapped a hand to his forehead.
Geet & Pari both shared a frown.
"Hello, Dadima. It's Geet. Your voice sounds strange..."
"Oh, Geet puttar, I have a sore throat."
"Geet puttar?" Pari mouthed to her sister, who shrugged her shoulders.
"Dadima, has Maan given you the medications on time?"
"Yes dear, he has. He takes very good care of me," Dev replied, looking at Maan who gave him a grateful smile. "You're lucky to have him."
"Yes, I guess I am..." Geet trailed off, feeling uncomfortable.
"And he's so dashing & handsome as well, don't you think?" Dev continued in the high pitched voice, deciding to have some fun of his own. Maan slapped his arm angrily, but Dev brushed it off.
"Erm... I suppose he is," said Geet. Pari had to stifle a giggle.
"But he wasn't always so good looking, you know. He was very thin and scrawny, until he hit puberty, and then-"
Maan angrily snatched the phone off Dev, who was now laughing silently.
"Geet, I'm sorry about that," said Maan, shooting his brother evil looks.
"Um... it's ok," she replied uncertainly. "I have to go now, I hope Dadima gets well soon, bye," she said in a rush, & hung up.
"Dev, you complete idiot!" Maan said, feeling very annoyed. "She probably thinks she's marrying into a complete joke of a family now!"
"Bro, calm down," said Dev, still in hysterics. "The poor girl is probably mentally scarred now."
"I asked you to do one favour for me and you couldn't even do that right!"
"And what favour is this?"
Maan & Dev both turned around to see Dadima at the entrance of the house, accompanied by Nakul.
"Dadima, you're back," Maan said quietly. Dev attempted a smile.
"Yes, I am. But what were you so angry about, Maan? And Dev, when I walked in, you were in fits of laughter."
"Nothing," Dev said quickly, shaking his head. "Bro was just agitated about... about... the business. I told him he needs to calm down & stress less."
Maan shot a confused glance at Dev, who blanked him.
"You have been very tense lately, Maan," said Dadima, walking towards her grandsons.
"I have?"
"Hmm. Which is why I have an idea. Seeing as they're going to be a part of our family soon, why don't we invite Geet & Pari to spend a week in Delhi?"
Dev seemed elated at seeing Pari again, but Maan looked more worried.
"That's a brilliant idea," said Dev.
"Yes, absolutely, why not?" added Maan, now feeling a little faint. Geet would be sure to find out about his lie regarding Dadima's health... and they would both have to hide the real reason behind their engagement.
"Good, that's sorted then. I'll phone the Handas right now & arrange for them to come over next week."
Dadima walked upstairs to her bedroom. It took a minute for Maan to digest what she had just said.
"Wait, phone the Handas?!" he exclaimed worriedly & rushed off after his Dadima.
