With 'Jassi...' coming to an end this week, Mona Singh walks down memory lane.
"After over 31 months of living and breathing Jassi, I have yet to come to terms that it will all be over this week. But as they say, all great things come to an end — and so will this unique serial made by my mentors, Diya and Tony," says Mona Singh.
The actor is understandably sentimental about the end of the cult 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin'. "While shooting the climax scenes I was required to laugh, but I burst out in tears instead as I hugged my co-star Apurva (Armaan)," she reveals.
After the telecast of the final special 'Jassi…' episode and the farewell party, the model-actor is planning to take a well-deserved month-long holiday. "I may go to New Zealand with my family to unwind. We've all been slogging from day one and I am dying to take this chutti," she says. The final episode will show Mona at home with her family getting ready to shoot for the last day of 'Jassi…' "It's like a nostalgic trip through my eyes and there is a flashback of fond memories from my 'Jassi…' experience."
Mona is now set to shoot for Bobby Pushkarna's 'Main Toh Chalaa'. But she clarifies that it is defintely not the end of television for her. "In fact, I'm considering doing more TV serials. But they will have to be extremely interesting as I have to live up to the glorious benchmark set by 'Jassi…'"
