i actually never liked the same kind of politiccs we see in srgmp forum to seep in here..

Its absolutely unfair to compare both shows especially when the purpose of each show was different. Other than the fact that they were both singing shows, there was NOTHING common to SRGMP and II.. Being an engineering student, I like to analyze things logically so let me do my analysis... its your wish if you want to accept them or not

- The elimination rounds of II were completely done by Anu, Farah and Sonu while in SRGMP the first two stages done by the mentors and then by an array of great singers from the Industry
- SRGMP never at ANY point insisted on modern songs, fast paced songs or on silly notions like you cant close eyes and sing, while on II it was mandatory, any one who sang an old song had to wait with his neck on the line (Amey for Tum jo mil gaye ho)
- Performance was key factor in II, while it was an option in SRGMP which was rarely taken. None of the singers danced but yes, their singing was so power that it was good enough to move us.
- SRGMP didn't have too many shocks.. like the top 5 atleast were the best from the beginning and atleast for me, since day 1, I knew it was going to be these top 5.
- In girls SRGMP girls were much better ut in guys, Amey and Karunya were pretty good and I am sure they woulda hve given Hemu, Vinit, Debo and Sharib a run for their money.. Karunya and Amey were classic examples of people who would have done well in SRGMP too..but other than Vinit,Paresh and Hemu, I dont think any of the men on SRGMP can think of competing in II..


That itself shows that its not even right to compare both shows let alone say which show is better. People here must surely appreciate music which is the reason why they watch this over a saas bahu saga, and what is music but what our ears hear..what they like you might not and vice versa.

Both shows have succeeded in their own right by giving a platform for good singers to show their talent and I hope the new talent makes full use of it.

And people, please just a small request, lets not getting to bash GS and producers of SRGMP, it is a great musical extravaganza at the end of the day..

theer are no bases to compare Fg,ii and srgmp..they have different concepts...diff judges...diff way of elimination...

so no comparision....cuz no common bases exist..except..they all r serach for singign Sensations !!

now...it dosne't matter whose sung in movies n whose not... cuz eventually all good singers spotted in fg/ii and srgmp will get a breakthru..each one will still have to struggle....i personally didnt liek fg...it was too hyped...n ii1 was better..n i really liek emet of srgmp ..so all shows have tehri phases...some season does well..some seasons dont do soo well....

n amit_too_cooollll u have ur own opinion ...all of us do...but whats with those statistics??

As for Qazi, u haven't seen him singing in films and U WON"T see him either!!coz qazi said he is not going to do playback singing and he will stick to this decision!
