Why are your expressions over the top which appears like you are overacting

This is the way I have been briefed about my character in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.In real life too,you will find peope who emote and express like Rajshri Maheshwari,which she does with regards to her daughter and family affairs.Above all,I am purely a directors actor and I do what I am told to.The way I act has to be approved by the director.
