What according to you is the best/good examples of masala films and Art films? And Why?

Kat I didn't know you liked 3 idiots also. I didn't like it that much! But the film has a great message. IS HDDCS an art film? I think that's more of a commerical film...I could be wrong though! 😳

I know about Water. That's def an art film. But what's Kaamosh Pani? Judging from the title...it sounds like an art film too!

Personally,I never think whether its a commercial film/art film before watching the movie..I just look at the script,the actors..and if its fine..I go ahead watching the movie!😉

So I would say..3 Idiots..its not an art film..nor it is a fultoo masala film...but for me..it was a COMPLETE FILM!..It had everything..from dialogues to sensitivity to creativity to songs to latkas jhatkas to story in the perfect ratio!

Anyhow if I really have to say about art films like the showl world does..i would say..mr and Mrs Iyer![though i really dont know whether it falls into the category of an art film]😕

Indian Parallel cinema (off the top of my head):

Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda
Garam Hawa
Ek Doctor ki maut
Dhobi Ghat

Masala: I like most slapstick and romantic comedies. It's fun to watch mush, over-the-top drama and stars in designer wears singing popular tunes.
