A message has been sent to YP and SWJ expressing our concern towards the current state of affairs in RBO ...
Heres the letter ...
Dear Mr. Patnaik,
Hope you are doing fine!
'Cos we, at India Forums are not!
It is with a heavy heart that I write to you, especially considering the sense of complete joy that we all simultaneously experienced at the just concluded 300th episode of RBO...
The current state of affairs deeply saddens us as there seems to be a sense of complete disconnect between the current 'odhani' and the 'odhani' that we all hopelessly fell in love with...
We love our show way too much...your out-of-the-box vision, Swapnaji's unconventional direction, the Khandelwals' superlative support system, and most of all, our awesome twosome...ShaNak, aka Karan and Yashashri!!
What a lovely product RBO was...we at IF, very fondly refer to those times as the Golden RBO Era!!
But somehow, things have changed drastically, and at times even beyond recognition!!
The haphazard introduction of new characters...mindless comedy in the name of entertainment...and, most worrisome of all...the ShaNak story/journey showing sure-shot signs of stagnation!!!
ShaNak, currently, seem to be doing nothing noteworthy really...the growth of the, by now, legendary, emotional depth of their equation seems to have become a distant dream as things stand today
There are so many loose ends which have so easily been brushed under the carpet...
The defamatory MMS...the infidelity accusations...the sensitivity of the abortion issue...everything was treated so casually, almost in a juvenile manner!!!
And, in the process, ShaNak and their characterisations went for a complete toss!! Shaan looked like a fool hugging Rahul despite the despicable MMS, and the bigger question of Khanak's honour obviously did not matter...
Even the future looks so bleak...
Rahul is out there toiling with one presentation after another; what is the lead actor of the show, Shantanu Khandelwal doing??
Either whiling away his time...hovering around his wife...or taking part in some godforsaken Sasha mission!!! Apalling to say the least!!
That brings me to the final part of this message, yet another major concern that we Odhanians at IF have!!
The continuous introduction of new characters and tracks, which seem to have taken complete centrestage!! ShaNak's track at times seems incidental to the entire scheme of things, such is the sorry state of affairs!!!
ShaNak for us, just does not mean their beautiful romance! Undoubtedly, we love it, but only after there is some substance, some definite growth in their characters...something which is sorely absent since November of last year...
In conclusion, would only like to say, we at India Forums, love RBO a LOT! We feel for ShaNak as flesh and blood characters...unfortunately, that love these days, seems to be tinged by a sense of sadness...

What a love story it could have been...
What a story it has been reduced to!!!
Sigh!!!
Fingers and Toes crossed for a resurrection of sorts...
