Pooja Gor reveals her beauty secrets

Pooja Gor, aka Pratigya of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, is known to be a cool combination of beauty and style. She is one of the few actresses who can carry off Indian as well as Western outfits with finesse. We catch up with Pooja as she shares her beauty, style and makeup secrets with her fans.

How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as simple. Comfort is of utmost importance to me and I am not brand conscious at all. I will wear anything that looks good on me, whether it is branded or not.

What is your opinion about your character Pratigya's look in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya?
Pratigya is stylish in her own way but she believes in keeping her look simple and classy. In real life, I am not as comfortable in saris like Pratigya is. However, I love wearing salwar kameez for any function that I have to attend.

What does your wardrobe consist of this summer?
This summer you will spot me in a T-shirt and denims or shorts. I also love wearing short dresses. When it comes to special occasions I prefer gowns. I feel like a princess in gowns (laughs).

What are your fashion mantras?
I don't follow trends blindly and instead check whether a particular look suits me or not. Another important tip is that you should carry off whatever you wear with full confidence.

Which is the fashion trend that makes you cringe?
One trend that makes me cringe is when girls wear denims with traditional footwear as it looks mismatched. Guys should avoid jazzy T-shirts and V-neck T-shirts.

What are the most important items in your makeup kit?
I love wearing kajal. Another important item in my makeup kit is lip balm.

How do you maintain healthy hair?
I make sure to keep my hair clean. Besides that, I apply oil regularly. It is also important to regularly go for a head massage at a good spa because just like our body our hair too needs rejuvenation.

What is the secret behind your flawless skin?
I believe that the best treatment for ones skin is to consume a lot of water. I also make it a point to avoid oily food and eat healthy instead.

Whose beauty and style do you admire?
I love Priyanka Chopra's style. She is always well dressed and I love the way she does her hair. I also like the way she accessorizes herself, especially her watches.
