wowww Tanya...i finally managed to catch up on ur FF...and i must say it is fabulous...just fab...

loving the friendship and bonding...and Dev is a bad boy and Maan is some cop or detective trying to find evidence to expose him...that's what i think...but i love the way you writing..simple yet perfect...

can't wait for Maaneet to fall in love...i know they are suppose to end up together..since Dev is a bad boy...

and ya before i forget...u can definitely email ur hubby my OS even though u write so awesome urself...but i wouldn't mind if u email it to him..it would be a first a male reads my mushy gushy romance..LOL...

can't wait for the next one

Geet's Apartment

"Maan,,What are you doing in Dev's study??"

She stood in the door way looking at him questioningly!!

He was rattled for a second... caught off guard like that... but

quickly gathered his wits before she noticed his flushed face.

"Ummm...Geet ,I was getting bored there, so decided to look for

something to read..I must say that your husband has an excellent

collection of classics.."

She rolled her eyes.."I know..I know, It's a pity that I can't read

them,majority of his books are in Dutch..aargh..not fair!!"

"mmm..." he took a deep breath..."wow,that smells so

appetizing..I'm starving girl..come on let's eat!"

"Ok,chalo!!"

He gave a mental sigh and followed her... silently thanking God for

getting him out of the mess.

"Het diner was geweldig! Dank you,mevrouw..."

"haa?? come again??"

"I said,the dinner was wonderful,Thank you!!"

"Acha,yeh toh aap Shudh Hindi mein bhi bol sakthe the...mein

khush ho jaati..yeh Dutch- Wutch mere samajh ke bahar hai!"

"That is something I wanted to ask you before too.."

"Kya?"

"yahi ki..how come you don't know even the basic stuff in Dutch??

How did you get your Visa??"

"Visa?? I don't understand..What's my Visa got to do with this language??"

"Geet,you have come here to live with your husband on a

permanent basis,hai na?? Aise mein, you'll get a Visa only if you

give a test in Dutch!!"

"Nahin Maan...aisa kuch bhi nahi hai..I didn't give any test-west!

Dev got all my papers ready and I came here with him two weeks

after our marriage!"

"Just two weeks?? But how is that possible??"

"Aapko kya ho gaya hain,Maan?? What are you talking about??"

"Umm...Kuch nahin! If you don't mind,can I see your pass port??"

"No, I do mind..I won't show you my passport!!" She said coldly!

His head shot up hearing her stubborn refusal!!

His mind was in turmoil wondering whether she really was as

innocent as she seemed..

He intently watched her expressions trying to gauge her thoughts..

She was sitting with a frown and a pout,her nose scrunched up in

a cute way as though she was remembering something very

unpleasant!!

"Geet..Is there any particular reason why I shouldn't be seeing

your passport??"

She gave him a sheepish look..but didn't say anything..

"Geet..tell me..What is it??"

"Woh..woh.."

"Geeet..."

"Haan, theek hai,theek hai..don't be angry..woh kya hain na??

pass port mein ..."

"Passport mein kya??" He asked eagerly unable to hold back his

curiosity..

"Passport mein..ummm...meri photo gandi hai..I..I look like a

Bhootni!!!" She blurted out,shutting her eyes tightly!!

He sat frozen,blinking at her..his mouth slightly open...

As her words sank in,he burst out laughing!!!

"God this girl is a first degree lunatic !!!! being with her

means..soon I'll also need the services of a shrink!!...trust my little

Geet to throw something that unexpected at me!!"

He chided himself mentally for his misjudgment...how could he

even think that she had an ulterior motive???

He blamed it on his job...surrounded by lies and deceit all the

time...it was difficult for him to accept her innocence and purity that

easily!

"Haan..haan..hasiye..hasiye..bada mazaa aa rahe hai na aapko?

chalo.. ab bilkul nahi dikhavoongi passport!"

"Arre yaar,tum phir se bura maan gayi..Meri pyaari si Geet itni

cute hai ki woh kabhi bhi buri nahi dikh sakthi !"

"Sachchi??"

"Haan bilkul !!"

Her face lit up with a cute smile!

"Theek hai! Main abhi leke aathi hoon!"

He stood shocked looking at the passport...the situation was the

same as he had dreaded !!

Now he had to act fast...or else...
