On the terrace, Naina watches Akruti's face being caressed by her admirer, and
after waiting to see her glow in ecstasy, she calls her name, and suddenly the man jumps off and runs, from the compound, and Naina asks her who the man was, and at first she refuses to say, and beats around the bush, and Naina says, that they have been coming close of late, and she is keen to see that no harm comes to her. She asks her to confide in her, but if she does not want to do that, she is o.k. with it. Akruti softens up, and tells her that it was Ayush. She asks Naina to keep quiet about it, but she tells her that it is alright to be in love, but if she does it by telling lies and hiding from the family, she can put herself in risk and get into trouble. Akruti tells her that if her father knows, all can get awry, before anything has materialized. Naina asks her, "What would have happened if it was your father who found it?" Naina tells Akruti to speak to Daksh whom she trusts, and he loves her, to speak to Ayush, but she does not want to do it. She asks Naina to do it, but she takes her commitment that once she speaks, she will have to tell Daksh about it, and she accepts.
In the kitchen, the crafty Rohini is tutoring her conniving sister, to make advances on Daksh, and they start preparing the breakfast, and she is cutting the onions for the kaande-pohe. - a Maharashtrian preparation made of onions and beaten rice. Ayee comes and she asks Rohini why she did not stop her from doing the cooking. Rohini 
tells her that her sister is a stubborn girl and will not listen. When her aunt tells her that the onions will make her eyes water, she tells her that she loves the family and this is a small sacrifice, she can tolerate. The way she does her play-acting she seems to be a clone of Rohini.in velvet gloves. When Ayee offers to make tea, Rohini says there are no tea leaves, and Ayee goes to the store room to bring them. Rohini tells her sister of her plans, and then Daksh is heard, asking if the breakfast is ready. Rohini prompts her sister to get the dishes on to the dining table.
In Akruti's room, she is on the phone with Ayush, telling him, to meet Naina, and he feels he is being put in a trap. He tries to give excuses, but Akruti tells him that Naina wanted her to ask him to meet Dadsh. He thinks meeting her is a lesser evil and he yields.
At the dining table, Daksh has taken his seat, and Rohini is keeping guard on the chair to his right, and instructs her sister to serve Daksh. She does as she is told, and the mother too is there, admiring her daughter in law and her sister. Our hero Abhimanyu, glides into the dining room, with a wily smile on his face, and takes his seat opposite Daksh and passes comments on the two sisters. Rohini smarts within herself, but tolerates since her goal is to get her sister hooked on to the eligible bachelor in the house. Then Naina comes in and politely wishes them, Rohini praises her sister, and tells them that the breakfast was prepared by Madhura, and Abhi asks, "Did she prepare it for all, or only for Daksh?" and then she 
serves him too. and they have the breakfast, and Daksh does not comment on the preparation. Naina inquires where Akruti is, and Abhi says, she should know it better, since they use the same room. When she asks again he tells her, "She is in her room, and talking to someone on the phone." Naina becomes thoughtful. and she goes to her usual seat, next to Daksh, but the chair is tightly gripped by the sister in law, and does not yield to the 'paying guest' whom she detests. Instead she calls Madhura to come and take the seat. Daksh does not like her behavior. Naina is smart enough, and leaves Rohini since she has gauged her intentions, and goes to sit next to Abhi. She asks Daksh how he liked the breakfast, and he says, it is nice, and Rohini says her sister prepared it, and it goes without a comment from him.
Rohini praises her sister, saying she is simple and not used to the public, being from a small town like Nashik, and passes hints that girls who are in Bombay are too bold and they flaunt their freedom. Naina says, that in the hill country from where she comes the people are more reserved and Rohini passes further sarcastic remarks, and hints that Naina is free since she has no family of her own and is not bound by any. Naina hides the hurt, but Rohini goes on and on, till Daksh puts a stop to her ranting. Abhi gives them his uncalled for critique of the preparation as a barb and again Rohini smarts but keeps quiet. Abhi coolly tells Madhura, that this place is not safe for her, that she should go back to her small town, where she is safe and sheltered. and adds, if she could find a smaller town, it would best serve her. She is too cuddly a doll, to be messed with. He praises her cooking, but tells that there is scope for improvement, and asks her to keep on trying. Rohini looks angrily at him tongue tied. Then he and Naina leave the table after their meal, and Naina as a decent person passes some nice comments on Madhura's efforts.
Rohini plots with her sister, that she will go with Daksh to the College in Dadar and asks him to drop her to the college to make some inquiries about the MBA course Rohini knows Daksh's itinerary, and tells him since he is going in that direction to drop his sister.. He tells her that he has some other work, and so he may not be able to do it, but his mother intervenes and tells him to take her. Rohini is happy. - (wonder if they have thought about the geography of Mumbai. No rickshaws ply on the south of Bandra, and from Mahim to South Bombay only taxis can go, and only in Bandra, and to the North, the rickshaws are allowed to ply. In many scenes, when Daksh was going to his office, there were rickshaws on the road, which goes to show, that his office, is in Mumbai to the north of Bandra. So he could not be going to his office in Dadar, but may be visiting a client in Dadar, and so it may be possible he is going in that direction.)
Abhi and Naina have a quiet time together as they are preparing to go out. Naina smarts under the words said by Rohini, her remarks about her family, without knowing anything about her back ground. As Abhi tries to humor her, he sees a tear flowing down her eye, and he wipes it, and becomes very sensitive and caring, and we see a new side of his nature. He must be hiding his sensitive nature
. under the guise of a happy go lucky young man. When he goes round her and continues talking, she asks him, why he is doing this. Then he bring in a snippet from Rohini, and says, that there is no one guarding you from others ! He cracks his jokes, and brings a smile on a tearful Naina. He has achieved his goal. then he says, he did not like what happened at the dining table, and Naina tells him not to worry about her at all. She takes his leave, saying that she has to complete a lot of work and Abhi stares at her in wonderment.
In the Pre Cap, Akruti asks, if she met Ayush. She asks if Ayush loves her a lot, and Naina tells her that he is not in love with her, but only in himself, "Sooner or later, would have to tell you that."
