Agar he would have said he is maan then the family would have thought he cheated them and would have let them go but half heartedly...because right now they are in anger and whatever presented to them they will take the wrong meaning only!!!!
now he will interact and convince the family that Maan is a good person...😊
and later when it will be revealed that he played the role of a driver just to make a good impression they will not see it as fraud but as a sweet thing to do for his love.. so thats how it is!!! you know when the impression changes then the perception towards deeds change as well...
Also the plus point Dev gets to serve Kaala Paani and bear the wrath whereas Maan who has already made a place in everyone's hearts is treated nicely😊
