KOLKATA, April 27: Give people half a promise to help them realise their dreams, and get their unwavering attention. That seems to be the formula Zee Telefilms has adopted to get viewers. Even an expectedly niche-audience show like Business Baazigar, the channel's latest attempt at reality shows, has managed to get a TRP of 1.5-2 per cent.
The show puts contestants through a gruelling series of tests, to test their business acumen, and the winner gets his business idea funded by the channel. It's a windfall, no less. The winner doesn't have to either return the money to the channel, or give a percentage of his profit to them. In fact, the channel is so impressed by the talent exhibited by the participants, that though initially it was supposed to fund only the winner, it has now come up with the concept of the Mini Baazigar , to be launched on 26 May. Under this segment all 20 contestants will get a second opportunity to prove themselves and win money for their dream business. SNS
