Hm.
She didn't mention anyone else but Jai and SJ, so her not mentioning MR doesn't worry me. But I do think it's a bit strange that she'd promote the new guy in that other segment, although I haven't seen it. I heard she asked people to give him as much love as we gave Mishal.
That annoyed me.
I found that it was being a bit disloyal to a co-star that you've worked with for 14 months. Then a new guy shows up and is around for two weeks and your long-time friend is forgotten for the sake of this new meat? I had a feeling that maybe she'd been asked by Colors to say what she said and they all probably have their reasons for never mentioning that they miss MR and such in those segments, but in the end I'm relations over career and to me it's sad and disloyal to pretend like MR never existed, especially when one knows how Colors treated him.
It seemed to me that Mahhi and Mishal were close friends from the past many segments. They were always having fun and sitting close to each other, very comfortable with each other. But now I think that in show-biz you can't call anyone a close friend. Maybe off-screen they still talk and such, but for the viewers? All we see is that she has forgotten completely about how much Mishal was loved on the show and she's asking us to pass on that love to a guy who is trying to take his place on the order of Colors?
When you love a character or an actor, you can't just take that love and pass it on to another. Mahhi has experienced love. She should know that one doesn't just love one person and then pass that love on to someone else entirely...
But someone once said that "perhaps we give our hearts uncritically to those who hardly think of us in return..." and sometimes I feel that MR is forgotten. But then, I don't know what his relations are with his ex-co-stars off screen. All I see is Mahhi promoting the new guy, calling MR a "competent actor" (a word sounding so wrong from someone who was supposedly a close friend of MR) and I still haven't heard her or anyone else on the sets say that they miss MR, even a little bit.
They're dancing to Colors tune, so they've chosen which side they're on for the sake of their own careers.
I do not like disloyalty in any amount. Be it small or big. But this is the impression I get, thanks to Colors. However, in the end, I guess I don't know what's happening behind the scenes really. Since Colors are now bossing around the media too.
So much for mailing SBS, SBB and TOI for articles on Colors treatment of MR.
