They are middle class not POOR!

I don't know if I am misunderstand, but the ladies and Urmi in today's episode annoyed the hell out of me. I mean they are middle class families, they are not poor. They wear nice sarees, jewelry and nice homes. So whats all this non-sense about, "a big car is going to come in our town" or "she just got a fridge" and "her son has a bhel puri stand". Like what century are these women living in? I mean I have family in India that are middle class too, and they have a car, fridge and sons that are dentists, doctors and engineers. I am sure they are not that aloof from modern technology that they get all excited over a car and what not. I just didn't understand it. I don't know if they were being sarcastic with Urmi or what, but they all have a better living condition then many in India and they should be grateful!
