Lexie chose the perfect ring for Piya. It was ruby in colour and had a gold band as an engagement ring it was what Piya would approve of. Lexie made sure there was no silver lining around the band for Abhay's safety. It was essential to keep him away from Silver. Abhay had Lexie doing some secret investigative work going on taking Piya's measurements wasn't very hard. She'd used the moments Piya had given solace to Lexie during her vulnerable moments to use this as an opportunity to get the size. Lexie had held on to Piya's hands and felt her fingers. Piya wasn't into wearing jewellery much apart from her mother's necklace and earring it was her basic. Lexie had used her powers to determine the perfect size. She hadn't broken any vows. It was good magic she'd used. Perfect. Lexie was overexcited about the big day. Abhay had to man up and visit the Dobrial Mansion to see Arnab. It was a daunting task and Lexie didn't envy Abhay. She didn't want to be in his shoes. Lexie had called Sidharth to bring Piya over at their place so Piya wouldn't suspect a thing.

Finally Abhay arrived at the Dobrial's looking a little perplexed. He had no idea how to start this especially with their delicate situation. Unfortunately for him Piya was getting restless so it was down to Abhay to do right by her family. His masculine jaw gave way to the microscopic tension making Lexie giddy. She hadn't expected such a reaction from her vampire ancestor. She rang the door bell. Chand and Haseena tagged along for moral support though they knew Abhay didn't need it. They could see their son was disturbed by this whole situation. It was all so new to him. Haseena was looking forward to Abhay's proposal especially. For a vampire this was rather peculiar but she wanted to see Abhay settled down with Piya. This whole drama was getting to her. Piya would be safer at their place but society had a set of rules of their own. Chand stood tall with his perfect posrure. He had his hand on Abhay's shoulder giving him a gentle squeeze. Misha ran to open the door with her dazzling smile at Abhay and Lexie. Misha checked Abhay top to toe noticing he wasn't in his usual casual wear. He had a suit on. Misha was getting suspicious of Abhay's motive now scrunching her nose.

Misha enthusiastically shouted-Abhay's here. (Then lowered her voice) U just missed Piya. Bro's dropped her off at yours. So what's the occasion?

Abhay couldn't help but smile back at Misha. Her goofy smile was so infectious-"Never U mind. Aren't U going to let us in or do U plan to keep us out here all evening?"

Misha moved aside-"Sorry. I'm still buzzing from the delirium of having another sister. I'm so elated U would not believe. I always knew both Pia and I shared so much more than friendship. We have a blood bond. It's just so surreal. I'm so excited."

Lexie couldn't help but join in with Misha's exhilaration-"Well your evening about to get a lot more interesting. Can U call your Dad? Abhay needs a moment with him."

Misha pulled her confused face on shouting out of the top of her lungs-"Dad! Dad! Dad we need U."

Madhoo came running out and so did Arnab-"Misha beta what is going on? We thought something major had happened with all your screaming."

Misha swayed side to side putting on her most innocent smile on giving Arnab a cute smile-"It got your attention didn't it? Abhay wants a word with U."

Arnab nodded Abhay's way-"Is it Piya? Is she OK? Does she need anything?"

Abhay eases Arnab's worry softly speaking-"No Piya is perfect. She's at home with Sid. I mean at my place with Sid."

Arnab showed Abhay the way to his study-"Take a seat son. What is it U want to ask me Abhay? Madhoo go get the boy something cool to drink!"

Abhay stopped Madhoo in her tracks-"Auntie please don't trouble yourself. I need both of U here. Lexie U don't mind do U?"

Haseena noted Madhoo was interested in what all this was about. Haseena spoke softly-"Please do sit in. We have a pressing matter to talk about. Its important we are all in agreement."

Madhoo sat next to Arnab-"Sure. This sounds very serious."

Lexie left the room closing the door behind her but keeping her ears glued to the door with Misha and Panchi taking her cue doing the same. Lexie shushed the both to be quiet.

Misha was crouched down on the floor-"What are they talking about in there?"

Lexie hushed Misha-"You'll find out now keep shtum. We have to be very quiet."

Panchi had her ears against the door tucking her hair behind her ears-"Abhay sounds very nervous. He keeps stopping mid way."

Lexie hushed Panchi-"Do U want to know how they are getting on or what?"

Panchi grinned placing her fingers on her lips.

In the study Abhay was feeling like he was being scrutinized by himself. He was normally as cool as a cucumber but right now he felt on edge. Abhay made sure he kept his nerve. He didn't move a muscle. To others he'd appear collected but inside he was determined to do his best and speak from the heart not that he had one-"I haven't got an idea how i should...I know this is usually done by your parents but...Mine are a little odd at best but i felt it was best if it came from me. I..."

Madhoo helped Abhay out-"Whatever U have to say beta U can say it. We want U to feel at home."

Chand added serious faced-"We thought it was best if Abhay came to U with this than us. He can convey his feelings on this matter better than us. We may be his parent's but in this matter we leave it up to our son."

Haseena touched Abhay's arm gently encouraging him on-"Go on Abhay. Carry on."

Abhay took control of his mind-"I'll start again. I love your daughter Piya past the point of madness. She is my life. My soulmate. My everything. God i couldn't continue surviving without her. She's special beyond words. I want to ask for her hand in marriage. I want to make her my other half for good. I want her as my wife."

Arnab was flabbergasted by this proposal. He began stammering-"U. U. U want my daughter Piya as your wife? Aren't U kids a little too young to be settling down? She's only 17 and still in education. U kids don't know about the first thing about life. U haven't even lived yet."

Abhay calmly reassured Arnab with his hypnotic words but in his head he felt like saying If only U knew. I'm way older than you'll ever know-"U don't need to have lived a long time to know what U want. Piya and I are made for each other. She cannot live without me just as i cannot live without her. I will keep her happy forever as long as we both live. You'll never have any complaints on my behalf anyway."

Chand reiterated Abhay's point-"Your daughter is a daughter to us already. She's family and we will continue to treat her like this."

Misha almost hyperventilated on Abhay's proposal accidently opening the doors unveiling Lexie and Panchi to the Dobrial's and Abhay.

Misha explained-"We were just polishing the door. (Misha innocently batted her big brown eyes at her parents) So we were eavesdropping. Whats the big deal anyway? As the head of the family i give U permission to marry my sister."

Madhoo sternly eyed her daughter-"Misha this is your fathers decision."

Panchi appealed on Abhay's behalf-"Dad you'll never find a sound guy like Abhay for Piya. He is perfect for her. She'll be happy with him."

Arnab complained-"They are so young. What's the hurry anyway?"

Panchi explained-"They are in love. Let them do as they want Dad. U want Piya to be happy don't U?"

Arnab nodded-"But?"

Madhoo held her husbands hands-"U are a part of this family Abhay."

Misha pulled her serious face on-"Don't be such a joykill Dad. Just say yes and be done with it. I'm dying to celebrate. Besides its Piya who wants this so desperately to happen. The girls all crazy over him. If U say no she'll probably go mental."

Arnab hesitated-"I suppose if U both are so invested in this relationship then i can't do anything about it. My only regret is i haven't had a chance to get to know my daughter properly."

Abhay let out a sigh of relief-"I assure U Mr Dobrial i will do everything in my power to unite this family. Now to go impress Piya. She wasn't too pleased with me for not giving her an answer for her proposal. She's still angry at me."

Misha encouraged Abhay-"I'm sure she'll be delighted with U after she hears about this."

Abhay warned Misha-"Don't tell Piya anything. I haven't asked her yet. I wanted to ask U first and if i got permission i'd ask her."

Panchi welled up-"This is so cute. U are such a gentleman. Most boys would have asked the girl first before asking the parents. See Dad U have your answer there."

Arnab got up and so did Abhay. Both men exchanged hugs to seal this new relation-"Welcome to the family Abhay."

Abhay nooded-"I'd better go. Piya's waiting for me."

Misha teased Abhay-"I bet she is Jiju."

Abhay smiled-"I got to go. Bye."

Chand shook hands with Arnab-"It was great meeting U all on a more personal level. Once we get Piya onside which i assure U we will we shall set a date."

Haseena wasn't the type to give humans any affection due to her problem with dealing with their scent but she'd made it her business to go out of her way and express herself by hugging Madhoo-"I guess we are now as good as family. I'll let U know how we get on at home."

Misha shut the door behind Abhay feeling very hyper as usual. She was going to burst if she didn't tell someone about this. She texted Ruhi about Abhay's engagement while Ruhi texted the whole fraternity. It was a happy moment and Misha wanted to embrace it. She actually wanted to see the look on Piya's face when Abhay popped the question to her. Abhay's face didn't say much when he was asking for Piya's hand but his voice had given away his discomfort. She wondered if Abhay was going to go on one knee.

Misha went around the back of her Dads chair and had her arms around him. She pestered him sweetly persuading him-"Dad can i go to the Raichands? Please. I want to see how Abhay proposes to Piya with Panchi. She's our sister. I have to see how she reacts?"

Arnab gave them permission-"U can take my car. Let Panchi drive U there. Knowing U it will probably get a speeding ticket with all your excitement."

Misha kissed her Dad's cheek-"U are the best father in the world."

Arnab briefly smiled bac-"At least U think i'm a good Dad."

Misha assured her Dad soothing his worries-"Pia will come around. She's hurting. It will take time Dad. She's allowed this at least. I haven't completely forgiven U for keeping this a secret for as long as U have but i understand how hard it must have been. Don't stress. Think of all the preparation we have to start doing. Adios Daddio."

The Raichands

Sidharth Dobrial was enjoying this little time her had with his sister Piya. He'd found she was a very effervescent woman full of life and love for everyone she met. No wonder he connected with her straight away. Piya was someone who brought people together he concluded. He saw Kabir with Lux on the sofa discussing cars and which they would love to fix up if they had a chance at restoring it. While Pari was busy fixing up the backyard. He was curious about what was going on there but decided against it just in case he got an earful. She'd made sure they were all indoors while she was using magic. To each to their own he thought. Sidharth and Lux both looked at each other hearing the sound of a car being parked. They knew who it was. Lexie conveyed a telepathic message to Lux to take Piya into the kitchen and wait for her signal.

Abhay zoomed the back way while Lexie followed him in his arms. They met up with Pari who'd almost finished decorating the whole Raichand greenery into a wonderland for Piya. It was almost like it was out of a fairy tale with shimmering glittered rose petals all around lighting up the dark night. While Lexie got to work straight away with the lights. She had magically enchanted fireworks to go off with the words written on it so it could illuminate the night. Then there were the pesky fireflies she had to deal with because Piya was just this. Lexie signalled Lux with her telepathic twin connection to her brother to bring Piya out.

Misha and Panchi had sped through a few red lights just to see the whole scene. They knew what a suave guy Abhay was. They got out the car and ran in just in the nick of time. They saw Piya was in the kitchen with Sid and Lux.

Piya turned to see a panting Misha with Panchi. Her baby brown eyes lit up-"Hey girls what are U doing here? why are U so out of breath?"

Panchi tried to catch her breath-"We were missing U."

Piya's does eyes felt misty-"Awe U guys its not like i never see U. We've only just discovered we are sisters so whats to miss?"

Misha uttered under her breath-"The Action. So is Abhay here yet?"

Piya moped tilting her head down sadly-"Ni. I'm so angry at him right now. He's been gone all day. He's avoiding me probably because of this morning."

Panchi assured Piya soothingly-"I'm sure he's got something keeping him from U today."

Misha jovially-"Good! I mean it means we aren't late."

Lux moved to give Misha a kiss on her cheek but Misha gave him a cheeky long kiss on the lips-"Now this is what i call a kiss. Men really need a push in the right direction. U should take a leaf out of Abhay's book and get more vocal. U are too slow if U want to keep up with this chick Lux U have to be quick on the execution."

Lux got his sense back-"It's good seeing U Misha but we are on a tight schedule. Piya i haven't shown U my little tree house i built with Kabir. Wanna see?"

Kabir gave Misha a high five-"Hey Panchi. Piya you'll love it. We worked so hard on it."

Piya was amused by the boys news-"So what are we waiting for?"

Kabir smiled-"U have to close your eyes."

Piya moaned-"What about them?"

Lux chipped in-"I have them the sorted with a blind fold each."

Piya moaned-"Isn't this a little too extreme?"

Kabir cut in looking flustered-"No. We worked damned hard on this and want a genuine reaction from U three. Now come on girl do as we say."

Piya let Kabir place the blindfold-"Lets go."

They helped her outside where Abhay was waiting. Lux took Piya next to Abhay who was already gearing up to surprise Piya. Lexie got her powers to get the fireflies doing their thing while she had the glittered Rose petals flying around Piya and Abhay.

Misha took the blindfold off Piya-"U can open your eyes now Piya."

Piya saw Abhay before her all suited up smiling at her looking so sexy as hell it took her breath away. She saw the beauty of the night with the fireflies and the glittering flowers around her making her temper towards Abhay disappear. Abhay went down on one knee holding Piya's hand in his. Piya's eyes confused but stared longingly towards Abhay. Abhay held out the ring he'd bought for Piya.

Abhay spoke with raw emotion so evident in his eyes making Piya's eyes water with his sheer intensity-"Piya my love I have loved U since the beginning of time. U are my Soulmate till the end of time. Our love is eternal and U know as much as i do how perfect we are for each other. I am enamoured by U and completely besotted with U with a craze. U belong with me Piya forever Will U do me the honour of being my wife? Will U marry me Piya?"

Lexie used her magical powers to let off the fireworks saying the very same words WILL U MARRY ME PIYA? While Misha, Panchi and Pari were sobbing away.

Piya knelt down to embrace Abhay and kissed him hard on his lips crying with tears of joy-"I will Abhay. I am smitten with U to the point of no return Abhay. I don't just love U Abhay. I HEART U." She kisses him sensually forgetting there was anyone around them.

Misha wolf whistled with Panchi, Sid, Kabir and Lux breaking the loved up couple from their moment.

Lexie came to Piya hugging her-"Welcome to the family Piya. U were already a part but now by marriage you'll always be one of us for good."

Pari offered her congratulations-"See Da does love U. He's been planning to do this before U but U had to be proactive and beat him to it."

Piya couldn't stop crying and smiling at the same time-"I can't believe U guys did this without me knowing."

Misha winked-"Trust me this may be a dream come true with all the trimmings but Abhay had a lot of guts popping the question in front of Mom and Dad."

Panchi added-"Yeah he is so attentive. He took care of everyones needs."

Piya smiled-"He is perfect. I love U Abhay. I know Lexie and Pari did the decor i doubt the boys could have created such magic. It was perfect. I love U guys."

All in unison-"We love U too Piya."
