Daksh is coming down the steps and finds Naina sitting on the stair way. He inquires why she has not been sleeping, and she tells him that she was thinking how to go about the wedding plans of one of her clients, Mr. Chopra. Then she asks why he did not sleep, and he tells her that he can not sleep, with Abhi snoring away in his sleep.
Naina offers to make coffee, and they sip and discuss about the wedding plans. Daksh feels awakening of his romantic feelings towards Naina. She adds some spice and tells him about his clients, saying they were competitors for five years, and then fell in love. Daksh has some philosophical explanations, perhaps with one foot in his own backyard ! She smiles at him and tells him, "You have truly changed !" As they discuss about the love angle, Daksh tells her that sometimes it takes years to understand each other. - this understanding can vanish, if one gives in to first impressions and make judgments about each other, based on them. Suddenly Naina says, "I got it," an idea for her wedding plan. She seems to be far from the dream which drives Daksh. Naina's idea: Competitors of five years, turn out to be friends, and from friendship, they become life partners. Daksh just looks at her and smiles his smile of delight and starts sipping his coffee, as the music plays "Tere Naina".
Vibha is sitting on the dining table with her head in her hands, and Daksh enters and asks for breakfast. She says that it is not ready. He asks "Why?" Then she points out to Abhi who has put on his Chef's cap, and is preparing a new course for the breakfast. Naina is helping him, and she asks him whether he knows cooking or he is just putting on a show to impress people, - she likes to tease. When she sees he feels hurt, she changes and tells him that she wants to learn these dishes and he teaches her his trade. First Naina helps in preparing the vegetables, and later, Ayee to joins them. Daksh, sitting on his chair at the dining table is watching Abhi with a grin on his face and as it takes a long time says that he will have the breakfast in his room, but Naina tells him to wait and taste the food, but when Abhi says, he is the Guru who has to taste it first, he puts the french fries in his mouth, and pouts at Daksh to tease him and then he gets up and goes to his room.
Before going to the office, Daksh offers to pick Naina, but she tells him that her meeting has been postponed. Hardly he leaves, a call comes to Naina, telling her to come immediately, and she leaves, and Abhi offers to give her a lift. Outside when she is about to enter Abhi's car, she notices that Daksh has still not left. She goes to his car, and wants him to give her a lift, and he says, he has to go elsewhere, and she could go with Abhi. Naina stands there as Daksh drives off, and wonders what has gone wrong with him. Then she goes with Abhimanyu.
Rohini is arranging her clothes, and Vibha brings milk for her, and she says that she needs new clothes, as her body is changing and Vibha thinks of asking Naina to help in stitching new clothes. The name of Naina, ruffles Rohini, and she starts her long speech why she does not like her. The mother tries to change her mind, but Rohini considers her only as a Paying guest, an outsider, who may be there one day, and gone the next day. The mother is shocked at her attitude. Rohini is waiting for the air conditioner to be installed.
In the office, Naina is preparing for the wedding, and Akruti gets a call from Ayush, and then when Naina asks her to go to the jeweler, she agrees, as it is an opportunity for her to meet Ayush. Abhi joins them, and when Naina tells him that his clients are pure vegetarians, and he suggests that she could introduce Mediterranean cuisine, and she says it is a wonderful idea.
Kaka, is walking outside in the corridor, and finds cool breeze wafting out of Rohini's bedroom door, and he sits outside to enjoy the cool breeze on this hot summer day and reads the newspaper. Inside, Rohini, fans herself, and says, she has switched the air conditioner full, and then she notices that her mother has not closed the door, and finds fault with her, and gets up and closes the door. Kaka, feels the cool breeze no more, and then notices that this crafty daughter in law of Vibha has shut the door proving herself to be a shrew.
In Daksh's office, and when he is trying to draft a letter, Simran gets repeated calls, and Daksh shouts at her, and she says, her father is very sick, therefore her mother is trying to call, and Daksh finds that he has been hard on her, and apologetically he relents, and lets her to speak to her home.
He is so disturbed that he asks himself, why does he feel so lost. Then he decides to drink some water to cool his mind. He picks his phone and calls Naina and she is getting
ready to close her office. Abhi is there with them giving his uncalled for suggestions, in his usual inimitable way. She picks the call and they speak and when Daksh tries to find out how the meeting went, she tells him they liked her theme, and Daksh smiles. He tells her to take care of her health and have her medicines at the right time. When he is on the phone Daksh hears Abhi's voice and Daksh feels insecure with the thrusting way Abhi intrudes in Naina's life. His cousin does not show any tact, and Daksh feels angry. He can hear only their voices, as Naina, seeing Abhi with the garland, says loudly, "What are you doing, you look like a cartoon character" She tells him to remove the garland. All the while Daksh is listening and holding back his anger, and Naina comes on the telephone, and says to him, "Ah Daksh, you were saying something?" but the telephone is cut. Naina says, the phone has been cut, and wonders. A mature person would at least have guessed why, but our smart Naina, is dumb on this occasion. Daksh too shows he has arrived at a conclusion on hearsay, - as a trained lawyer, he should have known better, but human emotions often make a person blind to all the niceties of life.
In the pre-cap, the scene is at the dining table, where Daksh is hungry and getting ready to have his meal, and Abhi and Naina have made up their mind to eat out. He vents his pent up rage and angrily tells her that she should not take advantage of their hospitality and treat their house as a hotel. To come and go whenever it pleases her. He says she should have shown at least the curtsy to tell them that she would not be there for the meals.
