Happy Earth Day

This day, created in the 1970, is intended to spread awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment.
.This day is marked as the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement.
Gaylord Nelson, the US Senator in the year 1970, was the one who founded this special day.
Initially celebrated only in the US, Earth Day is now being celebrated in more than 175 countries every year.
In many places, the entire week is contributed into community work and other actions to help the environment.

Alright, let's play a little game called photo-hunting.
When you think of the word Earth, what is the first thing that comes to mind? The lush grasslands? The different species that take shelter on land and in the water? The blue oceans and other bodies of water? It can be anything from a picture of a little animal to a picture of the Grand Canyon.
Whatever it may be..find a picture of it and post it on here! Let's see how vast our perspective is.
and if your doing anything special today ( like a clean-up at the park..etc), do tell us!
