Meenal Jain, one of the finalists of Sony's Indian Idol 2, is now ready to embark on a tour with Sonu Niigaam to London. Jain is scheduled to perform with Sonu around May 12, at the Royal Albert Hall.

"I am really excited about performing with Sonuji, that too at the Albert Hall. It's a very prestigious thing for me," she says. Jain reveals she will be singing her signature number, Lambi judaai, along with a medley of other songs.

After Indian Idol, Meenal has been busy trying her voice at playback singing. "I recently sang a portion of the title track for Ram Gopal Verma's new film, Go. It's also being dubbed in Tamil and Telugu."

Meenal says she was happy with the Idol results, though she hoped Karunya would win. "I like them both. Sandeep has an amazing quality to his voice, that will take him places. Karunya, on the other hand, is a very dear friend."

yeah!!! im happy for her...ram gopal verma has good music at times...atleast itz not anu-malik stuff 😕 😆

her shows with sonu are doing great...i love sonu for taking her as his lead female singer!!! 👏 👏

out of all the girls Sonu choose her! great !!!y not antara,monali or neha...so now u know Meenal is best among girls! Meenal Rocked after II2.hope Karu also rocks!

Well Antara clearly said she doesnt want to be a mere stage performer, Neha is probably in school ,and i dont think Yashashree counts

so it probably all came down to Meenal and Monali and since Monali has already sung in Jaanemane he probably thought, why not give Meenal a chance

But hmm do u know Sonu personally? Cuz the way u typed, it seems like u know him or something 😕
