OK.. I am seriously bemused by some of the comments posted here. Smoking in public spaces is banned and if someone is doing that he is breaking the law. What is so hard in this simple concept? This point about there are rapists and murderers in the world so by comparison this crime is so minor that people should just overlook the fact because "he is a good man". So, lets just do away with every single law dealing with crimes which are lesser in magnitude than murder or rape. And this thing about other people also smoke so what's the big deal. Every single traffic violator or vandal can have that defense.. does that mean that people who are caught doing these crimes should just be indulgently let go? Just because India has a culture of idolizing Bolly stars and the crime control personnel are more negligent does not mean that an unlawful act suddenly becomes benign.

one quick fix solution to this problem.... offer SRK brand ambassadorship of an anti smoking campaign at a price he cannot resist.... he will soon make the cigarrette a butt ( pun intended) of every joke :)
