Actors' bid to keep head above water

For someone who holds the unofficial record of delivering the highest number of turkeys at the box office, Abhishek Bachchan is prompt to justify the dubious distinction. "When we do a film we never know its fate," he eased himself out saying while in Lucknow on Tuesday to promote 'Dum Maaro Dum', his latest film slated for release on April 22...on the heels of his latest flop, 'Game' that released and sank this week.

Even if the next—in which he plays a sleuth chasing druglords in Goa—flops, his dates are booked for the under production 'Bol Bachan' and 'Ladies and Gentleman'.

"Our company ABCL is producing some films. We plan a Bhojpuri film too and for its promotion we will try to rope in Aamir Khan," said the actor, who was at the newly opened Reliance Digital Store at Phoenix Mall along with his producer Rohan Sippy and co actor Rana Duggabatti.

^ That's why i wonder how he gets som many films! It's definitely b'coz of Amitabh that Abhishek gets films.

BTW, acc. to me it was only B aur B and Guru where i consider him ''good''. And can say that he had major contribution in the film being a hit. Dhoom,Dostana etc. had John, Hrithik, PC as the defining factors. Both Dhoom were never a hit 'coz of him it were due to jonn and hr...

Abhishek B is plain lucky to get movies. Hope he realizes that.

@ Saif Ali sailed in the same boat....till DCH happened. Honestly I never thought he would survive in the industry....He was too " FEMININE" for being a hero. Look at him today...what a SURPRISE.

poor Abhishek, I feel bad for him. He will be always compared to his dad. It's hard to be a child of successful person be it movie industry or otherwise.

I agree....Saif was not even known that well before DCH..I think even Karan Johar acknowledged that once......I hope Abhishek survives till he gets his DCH

I feel she will end up just like them because Suhana really lacks the looks, glamour and talent! I mean she’s just NOT cut out for the glamour...
