At the British office, Rao Dulaju gets rewarded for revealing to Capt Hugh Rose that Laxmibai was planning to assassinate the Company officials. The moment they hear a knock on the door, Capt Hugh Rose asks Rao Dulaju to hide.
When Nanasaheb Peshwa arrives to meet Capt Hugh Rose, he notices someone hiding behind the staircase. A British official introduces Capt Hugh Rose to Nanasaheb Peshwa and informs the Company official about the Peshwa's loyalty towards the East India Company.
