I started watching BHPH from the introduction of the 1 lac* contract clause (Aug 10th epi). Prior to this turn of events, I was a sporadic viewer. To me, it seemed that Saachi was one of those stereotypical "victim" of her circumstance type leads - someone always taking advantage of her, she never being able to voice her concerns - she was crying in nearly every episode I happened to tune into, and I wasn't drawn to the serial because of it.
With this 1 lac* clause, she totally took me by surprise, in a good way. I suddenly saw her develop a back bone and stand up to Shravan. It was probably the first time that someone was not under his thumb (Pratap exluded) and I liked that it shocked him and in some sense, he no longer had the upper hand in the relationship. I became a regular viewer after that episode.
The contract snafu also reminded me, that no matter how mean, insensitive, childish or lazy Shravan was, he was never a cheater and never a liar. He, from the beginning, never stood for any of those things. If he said he would do something, he would do it and he expected the same of the people around him. His only problem was, he never promised to DO much of anything. 😆 😉
