The outside was kind of looking little cloudy as the sun was not shining that bright even though it was nearing midday......
Surrender: I am glad it is cloudy outside
Suchi: But I don't want it to rain either, then that may delay our reach...
Surender: I know. I don't think it will rain, looking up thru the rolled down window glasses. This is the best weather, otherwise it would have been difficult for Radhika to sit inside within these closed space.
Radhika: I am Ok papa..
She felt Dev's hand tightening on her right upper shoulder as she speak that out.
Suddenly the vehicle pass thru an unexpected gutter and the safari just shook all the travelers inside little hard. Dev held on to Radhika's shoulder tight in an attempt to keep her still and brought her shoulder more closer under his right armpit... and his left arm slide forward to support her arm which was resting on her lower abdomen; in an attempt to protect the baby inside. His eyes gone wild and slightly turning to her side "you ok"
Radhika just nodded her head.
Suchi held Radhika's legs. too, in concern
Surrender: Chander, let's go little slow, I think this road is little bumpy and there is gutters too, so let's be careful..
Chander: ha sir, that one was in a blind spot with that turn..
Surender: I know and he turned to look at Radhika and she tried to give him a smile back to comfort him
Dev maintained his position and tried to take her weight in his arms as much possible.
Once the road got cleared, Radhika wanted to Dev to take his arm away as she was feeling little uneasy with Suchi being sitting so close and then papa in front , her eyes noted chander bhayya and then the face of Lechu, who was sitting totally quiet enjoying the scenery that is passing by., but he was looking very anxious and his eyes were still glued onto the front road, with any unexpected gutters.
Radhika looked sideways and tried to smile at Suchi..
Suchi didn't notice the uneasiness on Radhika's face and returning the smile she asked: you ok beta
Radhika: um and she nodded her head
Suchi smiled again and looked to the side as Lehcu was pointing something outside.
Radhika tried to move her hand away, to signal Dev. But he seems to be more concentrating on the road. Finally her left hand slide down and rested naturally on his right thigh above the jeans material and looked at dev with a hope, but failed to grab his attention.
" Let me cut some apple ok, you want to have one"...'Radhika jerked as she heard suchi's voice..
Rahdika: no I am ok
Suchi: Oh, no Radhika, I asked your papa, for you no option left, I am cutting it for you, and for others it is their choice. Suchi clarified her statement
Radhika kept quiet. And soon she pulled her left hand out to take that piece of apple from suchi's hand.
Suchi: dev., you want one beta
She didn't get any reply
Suchi: DEV
Dev jerked and looked at his mom: um?
Suchi: what are you thinking, you want a piece of apple..
Dev: no no, I am fine. actually I was looking at the road...And then he looked at Radhika and made sure she is biting on it
surender: don't worry beta, chander is driving the car and he knows, Ok.
Dev: I know dad, But still. he tried to clarify again...
Lechu: mom, give me that, I love it.
Suchi: I know, one second, giving two pieces in surender's hand :give to chander too
As Dev's eyes fell on Radhika, she tried to shake her right hand that was supporting the stomach and tried to signal him to move his away.
Dev : kya huva Radhika? Is everything ok
Radhika looked stunned as he asked it loud and everyone checked back on her
Radhika: ha, I am ok
Dev: you tried to say something to me
Radhika gulped on that chewed piece
Suchi: um, I know, she may be saying that' she doesn't want that apple piece, how many times we need to tell you Radhika, as long as you are not feeling any disomfort with any food, just have it think of your baby, and it is a long journey and I don't want you to starv, I am not asking you to eat the whole apple, just one or two pieces, or you want me to give you any thing else, I have packed few eating goddies..
"what is it mom, let me see" lechu's curious words followed
Suchi: not for you, for Rahdika
Lechu: but I will be the buava , right?, so I need a portion of everything too..
Suchi: Ok baba, here, turn around and check in that blue bag, full of stuff
Suchi: tell me what you want?
Radhika: no mom, I am fine, Apple is good
Dev: Radhika, tell it na, mom is asking you, if you don't want apple, there is so many other things.
Hearing dev's voice surrender tried to hide his shy smile , so did chander. Radhika saw it with her corner eyes, she felt unesy too. She looked sideways and found Suchi checking on lechu, as lechu's head was digging inside that blue bag...
Radhika took the large last piece of apple in her mouth and freeing her left hand, she gave a nice pinch on Dev's left hand which was resting over hers, in a very quick move and broght her hand back in resting position.
'Ouchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........" what was that, it hurts!! .. Dev said with pulling his hand out and lifting it up in air , shaking it and then looking over his skin and cornering his eyes on Radhika.
Suchi loudly: kya huva?
Dev did blow on his skin and found the arched nail mark and looked at Radhika in question, but along with heard Suchi's voice and everyone's eyes on him and even chander slowed down and pulled the car on to the curbside.
Dev got embarrassed.
Surrender: kya huva Dev?
Dev: ji, kuch nahi, moving his eyes to look at his dad
Suchi moving to the front: show me, let me see, I never heard you shouting like that in pain. What happened?
Dev trying to rest his hand down: no nothing I am ok. Looking at the calm face of Radhika, who was trying to gulp on that last big piece
Dev: mom, I think Rahdika is ready for next piece, give her that
Radhika looked at him with widening her eyes
Dev looked back and said: you need full apple, mom, give her a full apple, don't cut that into pieces.
Suchi: Dev
Surender: anyway, chander stopped the vehicle already and then looking up at front: see they are selling nariyals, I love tender coconut water, let's get some. Come on.
Suchi: ha That's good, come on
They all got down and Radhika was about to move down Suchi's side, Dev held her hand tight in his.
Radhika: chodona..
Dev: ek minute
Others got down and Rahdika tried to slide more towards the open door

Radhika felt better walking outside with Suchi and Lechu. She adjusted her duppatta very well. Covering her tummy.They had the drink and small laugh.
Dev coming near Radhika, very secretly : tell me na, what was it?
Radhika: think yourself. And then moved near to Lechu
Dev sat quiet on a nearby stone thinking and looking back at his wrist
Surender coming near and sitting quietly next to dev, mumbled looking straight at his family: did that hurt really bad
Dev jerked his head and looked at his dad: ji and then seeing his dad's tease face : ji, no , no, nothing..
Surender: I know nothing. Don't show your hand to anyone ok, the mark is very clear..
Dev suddenly trying to hide his hand away, lost the balance on the big nariyal in his hold, surrender trying to support it: don't know how to hold a nariyal properly. Hold it in your both arms ok. Um, finish quick and come, we need to move on.
Dev looked at his dad as he walked away and saw him joining his family.
Dev looked at them puzzled and saw them laughing. But he was trying hard to think what it is that she pinched hard on his skin. A shy smile appeared on his lips, and he turned his face away to hide from his family. But then suddenly the lines reappeared thinking: did anyone saw it? did dad '. "Bhayya, come on, let's go" Lechu's voice came near
Dev jerking back: ha Lechu, one minute.
He thro the empty part away and walked near to the vehicle..
Surnder joined Suchi at the back,and that left Dev no other option than sitting at the front seat. Surrender moving his upper body to the front reaching near Dev: otherwise we may hear more of this hurt calls, so better we get there on time, I don't want Chander to get scared and stop the car all thru the way, so sit there calmly ok.
Dev' mouth felt dry and he tried to look back, but then the words of his dad forced him to look straight. The vehicle moved to the front and in between his eyes fell on the rear view mirror and found Radhika's eyes looking at him. A shiver passed thru him and he turned quickly to look at her with so much expectation, but she suddenly moved her gaze to look out and then started listening to lechu and suchi's talk. Dev turned his face to the front with a happy resting smile.
He looked out thru the side window and was feeling the bubbling inside, the bubbling of a new feelings, as if he saw a spark of his Radhika, his old Radhika. So will this journey bring her back to me?. He looked at that fading nail mark and thought it was never painful for him... whenever she dig those nails on my skin, in fact it gave me that pleasure to love her more. But today it did hurt me, her unexpected move, but somewhere I am feeling so happy, he brought that hand up and resting his elbow near that window panel, he rubbed the back of that palm under his chin to his lips. And made it to rest there near his chin. It took him those days back, back to their lovely days where he called her out loud
"Radhikaaaaa"
He didn't get any reply. He called again
'Radhikaaaa"
But the silence made him to walk back to their bedroom. He heard the showering water from near the closet
Moving near to the closed shower room, Dev knocked on that glass door" Radhikaaa'
"Ha"
"open it up, I want to show you something"
"what"
'I told you to open it up'
"what is it'
Dev impatiently: Radhika
Soon the glass door slide little and her wet head showed up little: what?
Dev: I want to show you something, come out
Radhika: Dev, I am taking a shower, wait for two minutes , I will be out
Dev: No, come out now
Radhika: Dev
Dev: um
Radhika: didn't you hear me, two minute
Dev: no
Radhika tried to slide back the door but then dev held it forcefully. Radhika trying to force it back, pulled down the towel from the rack and then covering her body with it

Radhika looked at his upper arm and one of the nail mark was so prominent that even it left a blue tinge bruice over.

Dev: ha, I will, but come out quick Ok

Dev waited out with a teasing smile on his face
"why are you smiling so shyly" ......the voice of Lechu near his ears brought him back to reality
Dev: what?
Lechu sitting back to her seat , burst out into laugh: Bro, you got lost somewhere, something happened to you, what you were thinking
Dev shrugging his shoulder: nothing
Lechu: how many times mom called you, but you never even heard it, what was that you were thinking so deeply and smiling on.
Dev felt his mouth went dry. His blushed skin suddenly went pale. He felt sweaty and hot at the same time. He was unable to turn and face everyone's eyes, he regained his strength back..
"nothing Radhika, I was thinking about chandenpur"
Lechu tightening her forehead: nothing Radhika!!!!!, hello, Bro, it is me who asked about it, not deedi, I mean Bhabhi is sitting comfortably'
Suchi: Bhabhi!!!!, wow, that is nice...

Forcefull air escaped thru his corner lips, he tried to relax but then his eyes fell on the mirror to see Radhika's eyes and found her smiling listening to Lechu's talk. He pulled his eye back and looked outside. His eyes fell on that nail mark and found it almost faded away. He smiled again looking at it.
"see he is smiling again, I told you".... Lechu's voice came out loud and quick..
Suchi: what is this Lechu, leave him alone.
Lechu: why he is sitting so silent, otherwise he is the one who used to tell "lechu see that, lechu see this, Lechu windmill" now nothing, he is sitting so quiet and smiling self, and I am wide awake and its so boring, Deedi also not talking much..
Suchi: so changed to deedi again
Lechu with a complining tone: no, Babhi also not talking much...
Suchi: that's because your bhabhi is going back to Chandenpur after two years, and going to see her daadi, then naturally what all might be going thru her mind, so don't disturb deedi for now , ok.
Lechu: ok, I am not going to disturb anyone, you all take rest , then "chander bhayya, can you teach me how to drive?'

Suchi got surprised seeing the silence from surender's side and looked at him surprisingly and her eyes gone wild seeing his closed eyes, and her jaw dropped seeing it. Her husband was comfortably taking a nap in between all this noise. Nothing reached his ears...
Suchi sighing it out: no wonder your dad came back to sit here. He doesn't like to sleep when chander is driving. See...
Everyone looked at Surender
Chander: ha Maji, sir never sleep when sitting in front , always try to talk something with me to give me company.
Suchi: I know, I was also thinking why he is so silent , especially after seeing their fight, he should have also joined easily with them.

Surender: um, Chander, let's go to haweli first ok. Then we will come to Moahn 's house. They will be back only in the evening. So let's get there , freshen up and by the time they will scme.

Dev flashed his eyes on Radhika, who became more quiet looking outside.
But the pain was still bubbling inside him thinking of her pinch, he want that to be hurt more, he felt like holding her in his arms and look into her eyes deep to see them sparkling with his love, maybe this chandenpur will bring her back to me, into my arms forever. He smiled and then got conscious of Lechu's eyes and suddenly controlled and looked at Lechu's face..
She looked at him and raised his brows asking?
He just shrugged his shoulder saying nothing..
They reached haweli as expected. Radhika got down as lechu helped her to stand on her feet. Sushma came and hugged both girls holding onto her sides.
Suchi: did Rohini call?
Sushma: just now; asking whether you reached here not?Dadi is getting impatient and I think she is pushing hard to let her free quick. But she is doing really great, now climb down the stairs good. Mohan bhayya will return with babuji.
Sushma looking at Radhika: um, I can see some difference, the color came back to her face. It was looking all dull the other day
Suchi: what dull, she was looking all pale when she came, now she is much much better.
Radhika tried to smile and walk in
Suchi: if you just want to walk little bit its ok Radhika
Radhika: no Mom, I am fine
Suchma: may be lay down for sometime, that will help
Radhika: no Buava, I am fine
Suchi: that maybe a good idea, go freshen up and take rest for sometime, then they all be here too.
Radhika was about to protest , he saw Dev's warning eyes on her and the words came out automatically : ji
Hearing that he went to take the stuff out from the dickey.
Lechu: Buava, no sweet to welcome us
Suhma with a smile: ha, heina, come inside
They all walked in. sushma made tea for all , and along with that she brought some snack and all.
Dev got up from the sofa , keeping his empty cup on the table
Suchi: where are you going Beta?
Dev: let me check on Radhika, I will be back mom
Suchi: ha, make sure she is taking rest Ok
Dev: ji
He climbed the stars fast and closed the door quickly as he entered into their room.
He looked at the empty bed, where her duppatta was laying in a wavy manner and tightening his forehead he scanned the area , and it got stuck as he saw her figure standing near the window with the towel in her hand, which was drying her neck down to her arms, with the gaze fixed on outside.
Dev took his soft steps near to her, and then reaching behind, he wrapped his arms around her waist line and resting his chin over her shoulder he asked: what are you looking at?
Radhika jerked with his action , but then comprehending back she just said: nothing
Dev: no, you were looking at something
Radhika holding onto his arms that was resting her waist line: Nothing
Dev: then tell me what you were thinking about?
Radhika: nothing
Dev: no, you were thinking about something, or some one!
She didn't say anything. Suddenly he remembered the pinch. He thought to break her silence, ...suddenly pulling his arms back he moaned softly "ouchhhh"
Radhika throw the towel on her shoulder and turned and looked at his posture and held his hand in concern, asking: kya huva?
His eyes went wide along with hissmile , looking at her concerned face and the struggle of her eyes to catch the reason......
