He bandaged her foot and left the room. He went downstairs and asked nakul to clean geet's room.When he came back he saw brij entering geet's room. He paced the corridor fast so as too reach there fast. He followed in the room immediately after brij.
He saw geet was trying to clean her bed. Water from vase had made it wet. She was changing the sheets and trying to collect the glass pieces. Maan saw geet was trembling now and was getting pale. Maan strode past brij went to geet, lifted her in his arms without a word.
*Geet was busy cleaning when she heard footsteps. She lifted her gaze to find brij entering followed by maan. Her face lost color on seeing brij. She felt numb. Soon she saw maan approaching her and lifting her in his strong arms. She felt secure and didn't resist. Infact her hand held on to his shoulder for support.
Brij ' tum use utha k kyu le ja rahe ho?
Maan ' m jawab dena jaroori nahi samjhta.
Brij ' tumko sharam nahi aati use aise karte hue?
Maan smirked ' nahi.
He then turned and took geet to his room. While he was walking geet cudnt resist staring at him. His firm jaw line, rough stubble, fixed deep eyes. Oh his features were so sharp. He laid her gently on the bed and her staring was broken.
Maan ' tum vahan kya karne gayi thi?
Geet ' vo bed clean kar rahi thi sone k liye
Maan ' tum aaj yahi so jao.
Geet humbly nodded and slipped towards the bed head. She sat there making no movements.Maan came from the other side of bed, opened his laptop and sat there working.
There was a knock on the door.
Maan ' kaun hai?
Nakul opened the door and came in. he hesitated first as he saw both sitting together in the room for the first time but said ' saab room clean kar diya hai. Vo bed thora wet hai kal tak thik ho jaega.
Maan ' thik hai.
Nakul turned to leave then halted turned hesitantly and asked ' madam vo vo
Maan ' kya hai nakul?
Nakul ' madam ka khana yahan la du ya vo niche ayengi?
Geet ' mujhe nahi khana. Aap wind up kar do.
Maan looked at her she was very sad. Sitting there with her head bent down.
Maan ' khana yahi le k ao .
#maan ' jyada udas hai, aj to bol bhi nahi rahi hai. Itne der me to mera dimaag chaat jati. Kaisa bhai hai. Bina baat control k naam pe isko marta hai.#
After nakul left.Maan ' khana kyu nahi khana? Bimaar parogi to m tumhara care nahi karunga. Apne bhai k liy khana nahi kha rahi ho?
Geet didn't reply she was sad. #babaji ye sach mein peculiar hai. Abhi vahan se utha k le aya aur ab fir taane maar raha hai#
Nakul knocked and entered with the food. Geet slowly nibbled one chappati. Maan saw her playing with the food.
Maan trying to cheer up- halwa acha bana hai vo to kha lo...
Geet retorted' bana nahi meine banaya hai
.Maan knew she was coming back in form. She ate the halwa.

Maan returned to his work and geet slowly lied down near him and pulled the sheets to cover herself. She was struggling to sleep. Maan got up went to the terrace. When he came back he was holding her Bandar.
Maan ' tumko iske bina neend to ayegi nahi.
Geet smiled took it from him. Next thing made maan laugh, silently of course.
Geet took both hands of the soft toy on across her neck other below her arm to her back. She stuck the valcroe on the hands of the toy to each other. Now the toy was fixed to her body in a hugging position and geet lied down to sleep.

Geet slept comfortably unaffected by maan sitting near her. This was what maan thought. Geet felt very awkward sleeping next to a man and that too MAAN. She closed her eyes as if sleeping. Maan had been so nice to her. # baki jo bhi ho ye mujhe kabhi harm nahi karega na kissi ko karne dega. Kitna gussa tha inki ankho mein......# she drifted to sleep thinking of maan.
Maan worked a little more until he was assured she was deep in sleep. Maan stole few glances of her'beautiful feature tainted by the finger marks of brij. Her skin was soft and radiating. Tear marks were there on her pink cheeks. Hair in braid, traditional salwar kameej'oh she looked so soft and pure. He didn't want to feel her sleeping next to him. He tired himself enough that he dosed off as soon as he lied down.
There was a tug for the blanket as it was being shared not by two but three....Maan, Geet, and Bandar. Geet hugged the Bandar sleeping between them as a wall.
Next morning when maan woke up he found the 3 of them cuddled to each other. Maan had kept his hand on geet's shoulder. Their legs where interwined. They were holding each other with the Bandar being crushed between them. He withdrew. He saw the blue black mark on geet's wrist. He moved his hand to touch it but stopped just an inch above...clenched his hand to form a fist. He got up and left the room for his daily routines.
Vraam braam....swoosh.... this was maan in the gym practising martial arts.

Geet got up rushed to check on brij. She inquired Nakul who informed her of Brij's early departure. Geet was nervous how brij wud describe the last night incidence to her family. She called Rano and she told that brij didn't mention anything about Maan. Geet also maintained the same.
