I think Remo understands Gujju, though he doesnt speak.. I think he came to Gujarat as a little boy and might have attended non-Gujju medium school there, like many Federal staff kids do.. I went to a school where there were a lot of Federal employees' kids from all over India - so they were excluded from learning the local language at school, but it was mandatory for local students...

If someone living in Gujarat is a Gujju, then all of DID folks are currently Marathi since they all live in Mumbai now!!! It doesnt matter whether one is liked or hated, but their origin doesnt have to change accordingly..

In your logic, every single desi living in the US will be American, everyone living in UK would be British, and so on!!!! I wonder how many desis will like that and agree to it!!!!
