SPIRITUAL QUOTIENT You can get rid of bad karma Charity is the key to it,says television actor Kinshuk Mahajan Ibelieve in God.But Im a religious as well as a spiritual guy.Its nice to keep a balance between being religious and spiritual. For some people, their religious side takes over their spiritual side.I believe it is important to be connected to God otherwise religious becomes just a formality of sorts. I do pray but I dont recite certain prayers as a blanket rule.I have my own conversations with God during which I seek his blessings,to keep me happy in life.I also make it a point to thank him for what I have received in life. The policy that I follow in life is that do not differentiate between Gods of different faiths.I believe that all Gods are one. What really counts is that one be a good human being by doing good and respecting others. I dont believe in visiting temples as such but I often visit Shirdi.Im a Sai Baba bhakt.Visiting Shirdi helps me experience a change of mood especially in terms of getting away from the hustle-bustle of Mumbai. In future,Im looking forward to visit the Golden Temple,Vaishnodevi and Tirupati.According to me,its not necessary that I have to go to a temple and pray to God,I can very well pray in my own house.I have a small a mandir in my house, where I often pray. I dont believe in following superstitions.I believe in doing daan.Getting rid of bad karma via charity,is my mantra. In life,I believe that hardwork is the key to success in life. For me,work is worship and I work hard, and make and honest living.I pray to God to keep me happy and give me whatever I truly deserve. In order to lead a happy life,I would like to advise that be satisfied with whatever you have achieved in life.if you wish for more, work harder towards achieving that goal, just praying to God alone is not sufficient. And most importantly, work honestly. As told to LA DO GOOD,FEEL GOOD: Kinshuk Mahajan |
