Ilu Ilu arrives on the small screen

Remember Vivek Mushran? No well, that s understandable as Subhash Ghai s film Saudagar happened a long time ago. Vivek Mushran is the guy who had the nation crooning the ditty Ilu Ilu . There was a stage where this guy had completely disappeared from the movie scene. Now there has been a quiet resurfacing of Vivek this time on the small screen!

He has been spotted in the serials Kasautii Zindagi Ki and Sonpari. Vivek just seems to have joined the bandwagon of out of work movie actors switching to television. Think Poonam Dhillon, Rati Agnihotri, Vikas Sethi the list is endless. Vivek, however, prefers to keep a low profile and does not grant interviews to the press. Media shy or media klutz? Vivek you decide!

Ashlesha injured on Saloni sets
The sweet but relatively expressionless Tara of Saloni Ki Shaadi, Ash lesha Sawant, suffered a mishap on the sets of the serial, when the light from a clutter stand fell on her head. The actress had a brief blackout but was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for the injury. Ashlesha is still groggy and suffers from headache but is more than glad that it wasn t anything major. Accidents on the sets of television serials seem to have become a regular affair now. A couple of months back, Mona Singh of Jassi fame hurt herself in a similar fashion. Both these actresses have chosen not to make an issue. But it s high time the producers took care of their heroines or things could get worse.

Prachee gets a new hair cut
Prachee Shah, who is more famous for being actress Amisha Patel s best buddy, is back in the news after a year-long hiatus. Prachee who had taken a break after her marriage to actor Vishwaas Paandya, has recently signed a serial, Sunoh Har Dil Kuch Kehta Hai. The actress is more than relieved that she doesn t have to play mother to a 19-year-old and has even got a Neetu Singh style hair-cut for the role. Let s just hope all that effort pays off, although we can t figure out the connection between haircuts and emoting. It seems like TV stars are beginning to ape their Bollywood counterparts. No prizes for guessing who Prachee s inspiration is.
