Star Advice: Anupam Kher

1) Anybody can be an actor. As long as you can lie, you can act. Acting is all about lying.

2) You have to be passionate about acting. You must enjoy doing it thoroughly. You have to feel and be in the moment completely.

3) You have to become your character only for a few hours that you are on the sets. You cannot live your normal life as your character. You have to learn to detach yourself.

4) You can start off acting by playing characters similar to yourself, and then move on to harder ones that are very different from you.

5) Have faith and conviction in yourself. Keep trying till you perfect the part you are playing. Never give up, and have patience.
