Siddharth: I feel protective of Rahul

Rahul aka Siddharth Shukla of Love U Zindagi is excited about playing the serious businessman down in the dumps. A total contrast to his real life personality, Rahul brings the protective side of Siddharth. Read on to find what makes Rahul and Siddharth so compatible.

What does love mean to Rahul?
Love for Rahul is the only bright spot in his life. Neha and her support keeps me going as nothing else seems to be working. She is my life line and my love. I would be lost without her. As Siddharth I feel very protective of Rahul at times. I feel he needs help and I want to help him.

Rahul hasn't been able to propose to Neha. What would be his ideal scenario?
I have tried many scenarios and nothing has worked. So now I'm thinking of simply telling her. I want to propose to her as soon as I can but something or the other keeps coming in the way.

Have you taken any lessons or done any preparation for playing the guitar?
Well nothing major. I had some basic training and learnt how to hold the guitar and play it. The scene was simple so no sweat.

Who do you share the best rapport on the sets?
I don't have much interaction with the rest of the cast yet as my shots are solo or with Karan who plays my friend Sameer in the show. I have meet Pavitra Punia who plays Geet and Roop who I am friendly with, though I haven't shot scenes with them.

Have you faced any difficult or tough scenes in Love U Zindagi yet?
My director and our creative team is very supportive so I haven't had any problem yet. I am enjoying doing the show and the role of the sober and serious Rahul.

What kind of response have you got for the show?
My friends and family love the serial as it isn't like the usual fare on tv. Everyone who has seen it has praised it. Sure there is a dj vu kind of feel as Rahul and Geet are characters from Jab We Met but the story currently on wasn't seen in film so it is interesting for the public to know about Geet and Rahul's life before they meet.
