tanaaz kept on & on about russia inside the house & amelia watching russian stuff, did it even occur to her that dina wants her daughter to learn where she comes from. after all she is living in india now, the world around her is india, what is wrong if she wants russia inside her home. that too dina is living with in laws, speaking & understanding some hindi, her hus is happy so what ws tanaaz complaining about when vindhoo has no complaints.
amelia is growing up in India, she will soon pick up everything Indian , but if Dina wants her to kow about Russia , she has to make extra effort.
tanaaz said she didnt see vindhoo in the house, ws she missing that tall person in front of her,who seems very happy & so decent & nice compared to her hus, who is just beyond words.

tanaaz was just trying so hard to find something wrong with this pic.

I agree with you that Dina needs to put more effort in teaching her child about russia that is what Indian parents do in North America. By the time kid grows up they learn north american ways so it is nice blend.

Vindu should have cut off all of the domestic help and let tanaz make parathas for everyone and she won't have noticed what is russian and what is punjabi.

To the person saying that vindoo should have fired domestic life and let tanaaz do all the work, why is that? i mean the point of the show is to experience the life of the other mother, and if dinah gets to live in luxury with domestic help, then by the format of the show tanaaz gets to life in the same life of luxury as dinah does.... besides madame dinah went to tanaaz's household and didnt even do all the work that tanaaz does do in her own home! so why should tanaaz do work that dinah doesnt even do in her own home?

that is the response? i should "chill" because i am in the minority? then in that case dinah should "chill"with her aggressive russian culture campaign since she is in the minority in india, no? 😉 everyone should just go with the majority, rite? Also thanks for pointing out the obvious, because i SO cannot tell where the majority lies by reading the threads on the forum....
Personally, i dont know much abt bakhtiyaar or tanaaz nor am i supporting them, this is the first show am watching them in. I think bakhtiyaar has a lot of psychological issues, but i didnt find anything wrong with tanaaz.... atleast from what i saw she didnt swear, nor did she have any arguments.... she didnt even react angrily when dinah went on and on insulting her husband.

what are you talking about? russian or indian it doesn't matter. Kid is half of each. She can learn russian stuff till she is home. Once she is out to school making friends there is nothing else but Indian. Kid is going to surrounded by it. So open your mind and stop being racist.

Where have i in any of my posts said that the girl should only be taught indian culture? I believe in my post in the other thread too i said a child should learn culture of both sides. From my POV school and friends might teach you language but not culture, i dont know about anyone else but i learnt my culture and religion from my family.
Also another thing, a lot of schools where richer children go in india only allow english to be spoken in school and hindi is reserved for the hindi class/ period. So thinking that the child will pick up hindi as they grow up in school and friends isnt always correct because kids tend to speak in english with friends just as they are used to doing in school
P.S dont categorize people as racist without knowing their viewpoint first.

As far as I know hindi is mandatory to pass high school. In some states such as punjab once has to learn to read and write punjabi. So please stop arguing for the sake of arguing.
