Guys Chill. Kajol's name is not mentioned in this poll because the standard of this poll is inferior .

Kajol is compared with living legends like Madhuri Dixit ShriDevi.

With exception to Rani ,Kareena and PC, rest as they say are "Struggling Actors"

And please DONOT label me as Kajol Fan

as u said, to each his own...

kajols blind girl act..hmm...just because she played a blind girl dosent make her role memorable...it was nothing out of the box...and neither was UMAH.....rani's character in black was atleast somewhat different, because helen keller's story was completely new to the indian audience...they werent familiar to the concept of how a deaf and blind girl copes with her life and achieves her educational goals...it was unconventional for the audience to see a girl who *gasps* actually has something else on her mind apart from looking pretty and romancing a pretty guy, whereas zooni was very much the conventional heroine with all her gushings and monologues...no one said rani's character was the most incredible one ever....

just that comparatively, it is one of the better roles that a female actor could possibly get in a bollywood movie...and far more impactful than kajol's character in fanaa..

kajols roles in movies like dushman, gupt etc are far more evolved and pathbreaking than the ones she did in this decade....dushman was the first time a woman avenged her sisters death, both played by kajol...gupt was the first time a main stream female actor played a negative role...those roles had an impact on the film industry and re-defined the way a conventional heroine is supposed to be...the ones shes doing these days are just ho-hum johar-chopra candyfloss/sappy cinema...

Sighs...

FYI, Kajol is my favorite actress, and I consider her to be one of the most - if not the most - overrated actresses alive. So please stop insinuating that people are simply hating her for the sake of it. (you did that in a lot of previous topics and I can dig them up if you wish me to). I'm not so much blinded by my love for my favorites that I'd have to overlook their obvious flaws for it; that's the fanatics' jobs, not mine. I'm fairly objective and can see things 'through'. Rani Mukherjee, who is my second favorite actress or maybe even favorite along with Kajol, is one of the most pretentious and fake and annoying actress according to me (no, you don't have to agree with me) and yet, she's my favorite. Kate Winslet, who's an annoying, irritating phony (to me), is another favorite of mine. I admit I do not like Kat, but I seriously consider her very humble. So yea, you see, I am not blinded by my love, nor am I blinded by my hatred. So it will be good if you can stop jumping at others throats at every Kajol-related topics. This is a humble request to you. Let people have their opinions. Even if someone says anything negative about her, does that shatter Kajol or anyone at all? Some people will say positive things, some negatives; there's no need to get so worked up.

Yes, saw it only for her. Very average film. Thought it only got raved about for its unconventional (for its time) subject. Very predictable and cliched script, and performances ranges from decent to abysmal. Tabu was strictly mediocre or - in some scenes, like at the end - above average in it. One of her worse performances, when compared with her other masterpieces. Her performance in The Namesake, on the other hand, was just out-of-the-world and yet so real and passionate. Now THAT is what I call iconic performance. But if they were choosing from Bollywood films, then maybe hers in Maqbool. Even Chandni Bar beats Astitva any day of the week to me.
