On her marriage plans
'I will resume shooting three days after my marriage'
DEEPALI DHINGRA
You're getting married on April 19. Was it a sudden decision?
Not really. My fiance Sameer and I had been thinking of getting married for some time, but since he is with the merchant navy, he doesn't have any fixed schedule. We had thought of getting married in March, but I had an accident and we had to postpone it again. My jawline is still swollen, yet we decided it was about time we got married.
What will happen to your shooting schedules then?
The production houses have been very co-operative. I will resume shooting three days after my marriage.
What does Sameer and his family have to say about your vamp image on television?
They know very well that it is just acting and that I'm not like the characters I play!
Will acting take a backseat?
No, acting will not take a backseat! Sameer is not the kind of man who would want his wife to sit at home waiting for him. In fact, he is the one who pushes me to work harder. Anyway, what would I do at home when he is out?
Will you travel the globe with your husband?
I'm allowed to travel with him, but my mother hasn't been keeping well for quite some time and Sameer knows that I can't leave her and go with him. He's more like a son than a son-in-law to her. But, yes, I would love to go sail the world with him some day!
