shriya, I haven't watched Roadies.....heard about it !! but my schedules allow me only one show....as I discuss too and get involved more than necessary😆😆..........so even if you and YM recommend I can't quit RBO and start watching roadies.................my problem !!

we dont act in daily soaps and ther is no reason for us to be bored at them ..😆

I don't act in soaps.........but I work in hospital as a doctor, sometimes round the clock, hectic schedules........still I don't get bored...........and recommend people to go for allopathic medicine only, not for homeo or ayurvedic medicine................I know that what I do is the best and I love it and tell people to follow that !!

We can happily discuss the shows ........

we discuss shows because we love them.................simple !!

There is nothing wrong in that and theya re acknowledging our love by acting well ..that is enough!!!
I know there is nothing wrong in discussing that................I would go on doing this.............
but I am just saying that I am not able to see other soaps due to time crunch and if I had time I would have loved to try and see some other shows which are regularly in news...........I am just not ashamed at watching TV............

Very Important -- I am not saying anything against Yasharan..........I love them and I don't have to prove that !!

But I have one point for our forum people who had made a huge thread bashing KT when he said the same sentence ( I remember it very well and the discussion too).......
.............even then he was an actor who was bored of daily soaps by acting in them......
but people were not considerate of him !!!...........just a thought !!!

Thanks for the article. I have not seen this Roadies thing.

Its not just YM or KT. Many actors when interviewed say that they do not watch daily soaps. Check articles in TC, in a column titled 'what does X watch' (or something lke that). Many say they watch Discovery or National Geographic. Their fav show is usually 'Friends'. Female actors watch more daily soaps than male actors. Just my observation.

Part of it cud be work fatigue. Not every profession makes one feel that. But the entertainment industry is different. In that an actor pretends to be someone else for a whole day, or 8 hrs shift, so he/she may want not want to be in that imaginary world again... they may want to take their minds off and be in a real world. Which is understandable.

Part of it cud be the timing. A lot of shooting seems to happen at night time. Dont know if the actors get time to watch shows that come on prime time.

What does surprise me, is how often an actor says he/she does not watch daily soaps. Some do watch English soaps. A small minority do watch their own shows or mention other shows, on other channels. I say this based on what I have observed in that one column on TC.

To YM's credit, one must say she does watch RBO when she gets a chance. She mentions it in her FB page, or in her interviews. Like the other day, she said she called and congratulated KT for doing well in the scene where Khanak leaves and Shaan is in a delerious situation and calling Khanak's name,

Anther interesting point is, a lot of TV actors do watch films. Thats also an imaginary industry. May be TV industry is too close for comfort?

What do film stars watch? TV soaps or their own films? Just curious:)

I asked a friend of mine who is from Mumbai if he knows any friends who watches TV serials. he said none. All his friends watch Eng soaps it seems. Dont know how true this is.

An interesting discussion topic may be- How many actually watch TV and how many acknowledge it?

shriya di, let me tell u one thing, if one finds their proffession monotonous n nothing new in it, then they can never do justice to dat, no matter how best they give their input...i know the girl in question loves acting, but this is the platform which is actually giving her the chance to show her talent n fullfill her dreams

Yup u made a valid observation 😊

Yashu has on few occasions watched and honestlty given her opinions as to that scene should have been better( engagement fiasco acting by her)

and scene was good that scene where she leaves the scene after MMS matter discussion in the cafe etc.,

Jut like us they also have every right to get bored i guess..😊

guess that was different time and people now have realised that each indivifdual has a right

to express themselves

Once a mistake was committed does not mean it should be repeated 😊

Now many feel as indivuiduals they have every right to name their favourite shows that

does not mean they dont watch their shows 😊

now guess by saying such things it does not mean they are not acknowledging the

platforms ..Thyea re always thanking their fans every where 😊

But we are interpreting too much reading in between the lines It is undemocractic of us I guess

and this is purely my own views 😊
