she might as well say she is quitting b-wood cuz i don't think she's gonna land a plum lead role anytime soon ... mainly for lack of creativity / scripts

this is B-wood for you... AB a 60 (?) something ageing actor still gets to play a son in his movies but 40 something actresses are made to play mom roles 😕

AB used to play a younger actor in his earlier days (when he was in 40's or so)....! 😛😛😛 he played a son only in Paa, and that was the script... so really, script matters too... otherwise, usually he does roles that are for his age...!! it's another matter that he gets roles that are written for him... i was reading naseer's interview that even after A wednesday's success, he was getting the roles that were originally rejected by amit ji....! so really, there's no comparison...

but yes, that is how it has always been in bollywood... and come to think of it, even in hollywood... richard gere romancing a much younger julia roberts... all those james bond movies... it's just they have scripts for almost everyone... there are roles written for teens, young adults, adults and even older actors/actresses... in bollywood, there is such a dearth of scripts... there is hardly any good movie made, with middle aged actors or actresses... even the 40 plus actors have to resort to playing guys in their late 20's or early 30's... either that, or you have mommy and daddy roles... there is no creativity whatsoever...

madhuri is honestly one of my favourites, but i have no idea what she is trying to accomplish... she really should go back to the US... with so many talented actresses in our current generation, WHY would anyone sign her is beyond me.... and for strong female leads, we already have vidya, kareena and priyanka... just how it is (unfortunately...)... i don't want her to make a fool of herself....!!

raveena offered to play ajay devgans mom? im sorry but ajay can get away playing raveena's dad without question but def. not the other way around!

she should go for films where she's the mom to a very young child though..

she said on twitter she turned down a film with rajnikant cos it was the role of his sister

what role does she want then?

@ Nuktaacheen LOL you totally missed my point .. that's what i intended to imply .. i even specifically mentioned the lack of creativity and scripts when it comes to casting really talented female actors in b-wood

i did read your post... but it seemed more aimed at the actors, rather than the scripts... in any case...

i definitely agree that it's the lack of creativity and scripts overall....

i thought she's somewhere in her early-mid 40's?

i think if she wants to be a main lead again she shouldwait for the right script to come along opposite SRK, amir, salman etc.

all those she worked with back then
