Mihir crosses Sahara threshold

Mihir Misra is all smiles. This handsome actor who flashes one of the cutest smiles on the telly will make a comeback of sorts! Mihir who was unceremoniously dumped from Zee's Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa not so long ago, has bagged a lead role in a Sahara One soap.

Says a delighted Mihir, "My character is something that I have not played before. It is grey as it has shades of positive and negative".

The female lead has not been decided as yet, but the shoot is expected to begin by next week. The soap slotted for afternoon will go on air by June end.

This yet to be titled high drama soap will be directed by the veteran Rakesh Sarang, who has earlier directed soaps Shatranj, Aashirwaad, Abhimaan and Kartavya followed by Sarhadein and Kehta Hai Dil on Star Plus.

"This serial is about women and her family members. But it has a fresh concept. We are looking at building the afternoon slot," informs Sahara One's programming head Kumud Chaudhary.

Mihir played Dr Rahul opposite Gurdip Kohli in Star Plus' Sanjivani-A Medical Boon and Aditya Ramchandran - a guy who likes to believe that every girl he meets could be his ideal woman - in Zee's Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.

Mihir has moved from Star to Zee to Sahara. Looks like he is game for all channels!
