anu it is not as simplistic as that ..............that people like me SUPPORT the evil shakers and BASH the protagonist . I dislike Shakti and also SAjjan ....I have made that clear in the post .Before jumping to conclusions this way about all people , UNDERSTAND the post in the proper perspective is my request . Firstly there is no hard and fast rule that ALL must LOVE the protagonist especially when she acts pretty hypocritically 70% of the time . Also the 'EVIL" side as u put , have shades of grey and r human beings with their own stories . We find that interesting . For instance Sajjan is an autocrat but loves his children deeply . Amma is bad to the world but a devoted wife and mother . Shakti is a monster but what he told Krishna ....that he worked his butt off to slog for sajjan while Krishna only disgustingly sits and eats is very TRUE ........Shakti has till now been the more responsible son in an ironical way . And hence in the discussion these human viewpoints r discussed .......this does not mean WE R ON THE SIDE OF THE EVIL CHARACTERS . Ur not understanding the post in proper perspective at all .
I differ with u that bcoz of Pratigya Kesar has learnt to stand for HERSELF and that Pratigya has done a lot for Kesar . What has she done except give speeches that NEVER changed the Thakurs ? Has Pratigya realised after her one year stay that her speeches don't have the SLIGHTEST effect on the Thakurs .......that they r exactly how they were before ? So why does she even BOTHER with the speeches ? Can't she cut them out ? Kuch farak padta hai kya kisi mein uske bhashanbaazi se ?
Pratigya influenced Kesar to register police complaint during her miscarraige and then brought Kesar back to the same house to share room with the same monster . See that scene and see her stupid heroic slow walk with Kesar . Why did Pratigya not take Kesar to social services or an NGO ? This was her solution ...........taking her to the same Rakshas ? Then why that stupid police complaint , Pratigya had hopes that the Rakshas wud suddenly change after one complaint and treat Kesar like a queen or he wud be so furious that he wud bid his time and KILL her perhaps ? Did she THINK ?Is this ENABLING Kesar or ENDANGERING Kesar ?
In the ARUSHI fiasco , Pratigya WENT with Arushi to her room ! She took SLAPS from Arushi , Washed Arushi's clothes , and did hundreds of stupid dramas to gain Arushi's LOVE............not once did I see her give Arushi a big public speech in front of ALL and slapping HER for a change asking HOW THE HELL DID SHE TAKE AWAY KESAR"S RIGHT and THAT I WILL HAND U TO POLICE FOR KESAR"S SAKE ? She was more focussed on Arushi escaping with VIRGINITY INTACT and Her hypocritical attitude in THE END was Shakti is KESAR"S husband ! Let KESAR have Shakti ..........So she wanted HER SISTER to escape the monster but KESAR was welcome to the monster ?
When the Thakurs were trying for Shakti's second marraige Pratigya's stand was Shakti shud not marry coz HE IS KESAR"S HUSBAND . Why did Pratigya want Shakti as Kesar's husband if she was facing domestic abuse ? Any answer to THAT ? Her stand shud have been .........Shakti shud not marry a second girl and make her life miserable and even Kesar , if she wishes , shud divorce him . Has she taken this stand ?
So , ina nutshell , what has Pratigya done for Kesar ? Nothing . I am not talking of the saving of Kesar's life here .........I am talking in CONCRETE terms .
And what CAN Pratigya do anyway .....she who herself is dependent on Sajjan Singh and freeloading off him ......what will SHE help Kesar ? To help someone u gotta be economically independent and have CONTACTS . She is neither economically independent YET , neither does she have any contacts except MUMFORDGUNJ .
I find her backsassing Sajjan Singh hypocritical too . If he is so bad , why eat his salt ? Go to ur parents and eat there ! R u obliging them with ur hallowed presence and sanctifying them by eating their PAAP KI KAMAAI ? Even more bad r the people who consciously eat off the kamaai of sinners and give them phokat ka lectures . If she cud walk off after a slap for a much lesser issue , why not go now for this MORE important issue ...........this is an issue of self respect . Give Krishna ULTIMATUM ..........I will not come back till u earn enough for both of us .........whether I work with my education or not is a seperate issue . First U LIFT UR LAZY BUTT and work .Then I will come back and be ur wife . Why isnt she doing this ?
Sorry Anu , lets differ about this . I read ur post about how CVS dont give solutions to various real problems shown in the show . I liked it and I agree with most points. But I don't agree when u think that Pratigya helped Kesar's cause . Even today ...........this selling mangalsutra is right coz its her STRI DHAN is a stupid gimmick by CVS to give out message and making public aware of Woman's right over STRI DHAN . Indeed Women have right over STRI DHAN , but this isn't accomplishing ANYTHING . If Kesar doesn't want to be Shakti's wife why is she living there ?The proper way to do this is ny living seperately and divorcing him legally . Kesar HERSELF accepted that this is NOT possible . Then why all this speaking up and invading conversations ? Kuch POINT hai kya ? Didn't see Kesar taking Pratigya into confidence and telling her she is going to sell Mangalsutra and abort child either . Let her decide with her in laws then ...........Pratigya shud butt out and focus on her own issues .
