Why I think Priyanka isn't considered 'SO' popular

I have read numerous topics on this forum stating that Priyanka Chopra isn't as popular as the KK's [Kareena Kapoor & Katrina Kaif 😆]. I disagree with this. This is a very honest and true statement from my side- around 90% of the girls in my school consider Priyanka their favorite actress in Bollywood (I go to a girl's school). Yes, am NOT exaggerating this fact. I do have the tendency to ask my peers who they consider their fave, and almost all say "Priyanka Chopra". Yet people wonder why she runs into flops- one answer: her choice of cinema. After Fashion & Kaminey, she has taken to experimenting with all kinds of roles like WYR, 7KM, Barfee etc etc. These days she is doing more of offbeat cinema rather than commercial cinema. No matter who their fave is, not everyone is going to see an offbeat cinema.

Anjaana Anjaani, a commercial film had a huge opening, and I have read comment stating that it gave solid competition to Robot!!

Die-hard Priyanka fans like me will go and see her in any film, let it be Pyaar Impossible, Anjaana Anjaani or even Saath Khoon Maaf. I have even seen the horrible duds like Love Story 2050 & Drona(🥱).

I would love to hear your DECENT comments and NO snide remarks please. I have no tolerance for them.

🤣 for the last part. Katrina has done only out and out nonsensical comedies and I admit I DO watch them, but mainly for Akki, Paresh Rawal etc. And most of their movies are remakes of popular Malayalam comedies which I enjoyed [the class disappears when its remade into Hindi, though].

IMO Priyanka and Kareena are the top "act"resses! But of course for me, Pri will always ROCK!!

PC knows how to pick good roles...not good films...she gets meaty roles in absolutely craptastic films which no one would even pay a penny to watch...(LS2050, Drona, WYR)...hence, even if she does good work, it goes unnoticed because either the ppl dunt watch those films, or they find those films so spectacularly bad that it overshadows her "good" performance....

i dunt think a lot of ppl go watch her films because they generally meet with bad reviews...hence, her popularity being lesser than that of kat and bebo is believable...

she needs to do good films...PERIOD...

I agree with you. She goes for performance vs script! I badly want her to do a strong role in a GOOD film. Even a romantic movie can have a strong heroine. I hope Agneepath & Don 2 are good. Of course Kunal Kohli's film will be good, I think. :)

those just mention will bcause the stars actors in it lol Thats the prob in bolly most women orientiated movies are not seen my masses just crittically acclaimed.

She needs to drop the dukhyaari kanya act and go for a full time paisa vasool comedy style film and she will be noticed.
No doubt she can act and has improved a heck of a lot since her andaaz days but the off beat roles are becoming overkill.
If she was part of films like 3I or dabbang se will be considered a sensation full stop. Time for some masala films I think. Or a comedy which she hasn't really done

Who say PC in not popular she is really popular, she is the most followed celebrity on twitter in Bollywood, that's enough to prove she is popular!

She is Ji...am just saying her films flop 'coz she does offbeat cinema. Even Kurbaan flopped. I hope PC does some commercial flicks!

No offense but how many PC topics will we have now? Just three days ago lovePC made one and then yesterday someone else did. Can't we just discuss this in those topics? PC overload these days.
