Vampires in this show run with preference, as I mentioned before. Abhay can read Pia's brains, sometimes he misunderstands her. He becomes psychic, but when the story requires something else - Abhay's powers get temporarily dumped in the trash! Stupid! 🐷

But the thing is - Chand says that the closer you are to being in love with a human being , the more their blood attracts you. So Abhay has a hard time especially round Pia. Like when Maya had cut herself in the hospital, Abhay was the one who covered it up meaning, he can also stand blood.

P.S. Hence, we know that Sid and Chand don't love Dan. Nobody does, but anyway - I don't make sense. 😆
